  • Dr. Nelson Oyesiku, a well-known pituitary tumor neurosurgeon from Emory University, is joining the UNC Neurosurgery faculty this spring as the department's new chair. In this interview, Dr. Oyesiku shares his thoughts on why he became a neurosurgeon, advice for current neurosurgery residents, diversity within the field of neurosurgery, and why he chose to come to UNC Health.

    He is great, and I had two failed pituitary surgeries performed by him in 2009 at Emory, and have to be on medication ever since daily due to that:(

    Is he also going to be performing surgeries like he had been doing at Emory?
