I just played this recently and it blew my mind. The added codex was a simple addition and yet it really helps with giving new player more information about the lore and the world. I really don’t understand how blizzard was not able to do or think of adding things like this. The cinematics are very well done and the added music was immersing. I really think blizzard should just use this mod and replace what they have on reforge. Hope the developer gets to finishes this.

Giving a very minor role to the professional players who boosted the game’s prominence might be a nice thank you to those pro players and a sweet bit of fanservice for customers. Unfortunately, it would require a WarCraft 4 made by Activision Blizzard.

What I've learned from Warcraft 3 campaign is that apparently slaughtering your enemies wholesale works out a lot better in the long term than putting them in camps. Turning them into undead is best though!

that new missions are (at least based on) from the wc3 preview missions from wc3 beta I think. it was 3 missions. it told the story how the trolls joined the horde. you could play them before via the custom campaigns....
I believe those were a part of a demo campaign for TFT, you're right about the story though. It followed Thrall after they set sail, crash landed and found the Darkspear tribes
The extra 3 missions were part of the Warcraft 3 demo. I remember playing through them on a demo disc I got with a PC gaming magazine. They were not in the full version of Reign of Chaos. Why not I'll never know. They were fully voiced as well, so it was just cut content weirdly. Blizzard added them in much, much later as custom campaign a year or so before Reforged got announced but they lacked the original voice acting. Reforged added them back in full with the voice acting restored and had them playable in order, before starting the human campaign. It is quite possibly one of the only good things they did for Reforged. As it was a pleasant surprise for me to play through those missions I had not touched in something like 15 years.
The third mission meeting the trolls, takes inspiration from the original map but is heavily changed.
can you make a compliation, where you put the key scenes of reforged and re-reforged campain next to eachother?
Part 1 of re-reforged already killed Reforged graphics.
Gotta ask is this playable with the old warcraft skins and whatnot

Grom's voice isn't a retcon, he was just high as Hell(scream) on demon blood in War2. lol

Damn Grubby, you insist on not taking the far sight spell... not getting all the codex is a just reward! (seriously though, with your skill, you really don't need chain lightning and more than level 1 wolves)
in my opinion its not the best but a good place to start. What i mean is that, if blizzard team up with insane monster and take this state of campaign and evolve it even further with smoother camera motion, lipsing of characters and more , it would be an easier job to done with good results! good job insane monster for your work

i bought reforged despite everything, because i really wanted to give it a try,
found that i always have 255 ping despite the server being "Americas"
Like, even Hots has decent ping on SA, refunded same day, such bs
There is a version of the Reign of Chaos campaing that works as Starcraft 2 campaign in which you choose your units and upgrades before you enter the campaign.
Also the Reforged 2P maps which are brutally hard.

I think he did but the patch or something in the game overwrites the change and plays the original

@@Ale-du6ft No, There is an original game that does not have those dumb splises. So using original dialogue is enough.
I did but then I realized doing that could be used by blizzard to issue a cease and desist... So I reverted it back

blizzard as you remember it is long gone
basically vanished around 2016/17. most original developers have since left or fomed other companies

there are dozens of "guys"
not confortable with keeping the "hellscream" all the time instead of "Grom", it just doesnt fit to say his surname so often....

More than half models are ugly and doesn't fit in the Warcraft universe. Seems like artists had no clue what Warcraft art style it is =/
