As someone with no experience in this topic, I'd intuitively want to get into a more stable position first, for instance, kneeling, before hoping to engage an opponent. When does it make sense to shoot from a compromised position?
If someone is shooting at you from a distance, you'd be probably better off trying to get cover. If you're attacked by someone trying to engage you in a melee fight that shooting position would aim at his knees. Sure, with a pistol, you can easily aim higher, but then I think more of a sit-up position, which can switch to your legs pushing your attackers away, similar to what you do to avoid grappling in MMA... What am I missing?

Just do a little force in force training and you’ll see. It’s extremely stable and allows you to stay low. There are numerous instances. Shooting from concealment,’low cover, under instructions etc. It’s precisely the instinct to sit up , poke your head out etc that makes us vulnerable against someone trained to shoot from where they are .

Glad to see the same techniques we've worked on every training session. Been following your work for years now and the content you put out for someone with a systema background is a blessing man!

2:50 I like your favorit option also a lot more then the other because you move your body out of the line of fire - that will safe more lifes then other skills

@@Combatprofessor A while back I requested, when you'd return from when you were on the road, if you could do/ find an elaborate video where you explain hitting people in antagonistic ways.
For instance with your left hand you hit the left jaw of your opponent while simultaneously strike the right side of the head with your right hand. I don't know what this specific way of striking is called in English, but I'd love to learn more about it from your expertise.
I'd also love to see some videos of using/ defending against armed opponents. I've seen a video of you explaining it with the usage of knife, but maybe a baseball bat aswell?
I'm trying to teach my brother some of those skills so he's safe in today's world, so those videos would greatly be appreciated!
