Hey this is great. I learned something similar from my instructor . He called it "Hartsell's Request" after the late, great Larry Hartsell from whom he learned it. I always got a kick out of that name. MAN it hurts!
Larry Hartsell was a pioneer for us all. Only had the pleasure to train with him once but it was enlightening.
thanks!!
Tha is for watching
Fantastic as always. I always feel reassured that your restraint techniques work but also are not look too savage for onlookers.
Out of interest, is the compliance better because it the nerve is bigger or something?
‘Piano Key of Pain’ 😂 potential novel name ?
That would be a great title lol. There are a few factors: efficiency is first. He is carrying your weight and you are relaxing so that’s very favourable as an exchange. It’s easy to scale the force level up and down just by putting a knee up or down to play with your weight. His arm mobility is limited keeping you safer. There are gross motor points on the back that affect pain and breath but more importantly it’s focusing on the trunk which is the origin of all body movement.
@@Combatprofessor thank you for the detailed explanation !
@@crumplepoint2712 my pleasure. Stay safe.
