This goes to show that the monsters they duel aren't just holograms and such. Theirs a reason why the phrase "Heart of the cards" is brought up many times in the series. Not to mention it connects with the Pharaoh past. When dueling, it may seem like its only holograms but theirs a spirit bond and connection between the cards. Just watch the series and you will understand. Especially when facing off against bad guys
i agree. sounds childish & corny but my crystal beast deck is my "soul deck" and Rainbow Dragon is my pure soul card. light & dark side to it. my deck works when it wants to. if i havent played it in a while it seems like its flipping me the bird.
This duel broke the boundaries of a normal duel. This is the only duel in the saga where both players continue the duel officially even after both have ZERO life points. Never, in the history of the series did this happen again
WeaponXSigma And 5000 years ago, Kaiba was Priest Seto, and was Criteus 10000 years ago. And also, whatever reincarnation Joey was in Atem's time (if he had any) and Hermos 10000 years ago.
I just realized that they have the same voice actor as their holders(Yugi, Kaiba, and Joey). Also I realized that Timaeus looks like Yugi, Critias looks like Joey, and Hermos looks like Kaiba
Wesley Hsu lol, you still mixed the warriors and the holders. kaiba had critias and joey had hermos. you said critias looks like joey and hermos looks like kaiba when it should have been critias looks like kaiba and hermos looks like joey.
I didn't mixed the warriors and the holders. I know who has who. nvm, you're right about the appearance. I was looking at the side of the faces when I made the comment.
This would've been an epic duel if the effects of the Legendary Knights weren't so fucking broken. Like, if Timaeus (sp?) could use effects of monsters in the grave, and Hermos could use spells from the grave, and Critias could use traps, Yugi could protect himself with the cards he and Kaiba used during the duel. That way, it's not just the Knights who are winning for him.
Darts had the 3 layers of prix halos which was op. A monster that absorbed all attack damage which is broken. And a monster with infinite ark strength ya not broken at all
At least Dartz's cards made sense in what they did. If you had to write their effects on an actual card, you could. The Legendary Knights had the power to "absorb" other cards and transfer power until it became "beyond infinite" and use it as an attack? What the fuck?
Their real life effects didn't even come out until something like 5 or 6 years after this episode. And even then, the effects aren't the same, only similar. Their real life effects don't include shifting power back and forth to achieve a value higher than infinity.
NickxBobie sometimes is better being a complete powerfull experienced knight than just a "big superior" dragon ... being dragons was like a curse for them cause that form sealed their true powers and they weren't themselves anymore therefore they became weaker because of that, in fact who do you think that kill dragons "in a regular basis"? *badass knights >:}*
VixXstazosJOB Yes, but there are dragons with the experience of knights. They know what dragons are capable of, as well as all the regular tricks for slaying them. And they can now fly, breath fire, and have impenetrable skin. So far, I'm not seeing a downside... And how exactly do their powers differ between their dragon-form and their knight-form? I'm genuinely curious about this, they sounded about the same from what I remember.
OH MY GOD ! THIS HAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE MY MOST FAVORITE MOMENT OF ALL YUGIOH HISTORY I FAN DIE OF EPIC COOLNESS EVERYTIME I EITHER SEE THIS OR LISTENING TO THE TIMAEUS THEME THIS MOMENT IN YUGIOH JUST KICKS SOOOOOO MUCH ASS IT IS THAT AWESOME!!!!!!!
Well guys, our dreams are coming true. Critias, Hermos and many other cards from Waking of the Dragons arc are becoming real cards for Dragons of Legend 2.
Barrington I only recently got back into Yu-Gi-Oh and and slowly but surely building a "Fantasy Deck" filled with Dragons, Warriors, and Spellcasters. The Legendary Knights will be the centerpiece of the deck.
For those who are unaware, to activate Divine Serpent Ge's effect, you actually have to pay 10000 LP. However, both the sub and the dub screwed up to add drama.
Pegasus also didn't give any cards the ability to steal people's souls. All logic and reason regarding duel monsters just flew straight out the door in this season.
Rafael had cards from way before Pegasus introduced the game to the market. Same goes for the Orichalcos and the Millennium Items, which have existed since ancient times.
kateandscoutsvids OP AF, apparently. Check their effects. Critias can practically spam traps from the grave when attacked, and his IRL effect is similar. Neither version has a once per turn clause, either. Hermos can inherit monster effects from the grave until the End Phase - again, NOT once per turn. And as for Timaeus - he can literally fuse with other monsters, including his two allies. If he fuses with Critias AND Hermos, he becomes the completely unstoppable Knight of Destiny. That guy's IRL effect is utterly insane.
As far i know timaeus has a mellenia long score to settle with dartz ever since dartz managed to put that slash mark scar injury on one of timaeus eyes
How in the world were Timaeus, Critias and Hermos able to talk I am pretty sure that Pegasus didn't make it so the duel disks would make it so the toons could talk
James Scarborough That's because this Duel goes beyond the Technology of Pegasus, this Duel and all the Monsters are Real which is why The Three Knights can talk with all their Might and Badassery
The legendary nights:finally after 10 Melinea in captivity we've been set free i am he who is named timaus and i am sir critias i am known as sir hermos in the name of Atlantis we have been reborn(echo)
The Legendary Knights were Knights first, and cards second, so they could talk. Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl are actually Mahaad and Mana, and can only talk when being used by Atem with his memories intact. Yubel was affected by the Light of Destruction, and I think gained the ability to talk after that.
So did anyone else see the mistake that Joey had Hermos but the Hermos knight was actually Kaiba? Same with Critias which holder was Kaiba and the knights form actually looked like Joey.
wait.... when yugi attacked the orichalcos aristeros, it was clearly wayyy stranger than his knights... shouldn't they have been destroyed.... I mean according to the rules you attack a stronger monster in attack mode your monster is destroyed instead... I'm confused
people cheat in this anime all the time, so don't bust your brain over it. i'm guessing it had something to do with the fact that they weren't just pieces of painted cardboard and holograms. they were actual people. it may have been explained in the anime as well. i don't know. this is an arc i always skipped when rewatching this series because i don't like it when yami uses the seal of oricalcos...
NickxBobie Then you honestly missed a great series, the duels are good... aside from that one. Also, they aren't cheat, but the Knights of Atlantis have broken effects. Which makes sense, Dartz entire deck is broken
Oirchalcos Aristeros was in defence it is the card where the defence is always 300 higher than the attack of the attacking monster. If it were in attack it would have 0 attack so it would be useless to dartz, but it wasn't in attack, it was in defence hence why yugi lost 300 lp and his monsters weren't destroyed. Yugi attacked a defence position monster.
NickxBobie Duelists don't cheat in the anime... Also this part of the first series of yugioh has always been my favourite. Best story line, best cards, best scenes and best duels. Second best is when the pharos goes to egypt and relives his past.
Unless I'm mistaken, I think that somehow Timaeus is the ancestor of Pharaoh Atem, Critias is the ancestor of Kaiba, and Hermos is the ancestor of Joey/Jounichi(sorry if this is spelled incorrectly).
Dartz: Well, get on with it
Yami: Do you know what's in my hand?
Dartz: TELL ME
Yami: Oh you'll find out, I'm about to summon it!
derpdog ok
This goes to show that the monsters they duel aren't just holograms and such. Theirs a reason why the phrase "Heart of the cards" is brought up many times in the series. Not to mention it connects with the Pharaoh past. When dueling, it may seem like its only holograms but theirs a spirit bond and connection between the cards. Goldjade14 yugioh arc v
I remembered when this aired, I was up every morning waiting for any episode of Yugioh
when Timaeaus's voice came out of the clouds it must have been weird for Yami Yugi to hear his own voice
yaa lol
lol
James Scarborough and critius is kiba
This duel broke the boundaries of a normal duel. This is the only duel in the saga where both players continue the duel officially even after both have ZERO life points. Never, in the history of the series did this happen again
So 5000 years ago Yugi was Atem but 10000 years ago Yugi was Timaeus. Cool
WeaponXSigma And 5000 years ago, Kaiba was Priest Seto, and was Criteus 10000 years ago. And also, whatever reincarnation Joey was in Atem's time (if he had any) and Hermos 10000 years ago.
I like how Timaeus sound like Yami, Critias sounds like Kaiba and Hermos sounds like Joey
Major epic throwback! Now that dragons of legend set is released, this is even more awesome to watch!
I just realized that they have the same voice actor as their holders(Yugi, Kaiba, and Joey). Also I realized that Timaeus looks like Yugi, Critias looks like Joey, and Hermos looks like Kaiba
I think you got that wrong... Critias was Kaiba and Hermos was Joey
ElementalGemini I said appearances.... I think you should read my comment carefully...
No not he mixed up the Warriors and the holders, it was actually a mistake in the Anime.
Yami: “WTF? Was I more than just a Pharaoh? Was I actually one of those knights?”
I love it when this theme plays!
To be fair, it was really the power of the Orhicalos that was letting Dartz win.
What the fuck?
iRazenrak cough their rl effects are the same cough
Their real life effects didn't even come out until something like 5 or 6 years after this episode. And even then, the effects aren't the same, only similar. Their real life effects don't include shifting power back and forth to achieve a value higher than infinity.
Every single attack name of Legendary Knights of Atlantis:
- Timaeus: Sword of Justice
- Critias: Sword of Wisdom
- Hermos: Sword of Renewal
"As long as my divibe serpent is on the field I stay in the game"
"I activate Raigeki"
"GODDAMMIT"
RoamingIRaccoon possible abridged quote
As wont as muwy sepent is ong da field i
ssteay on da feel man
"You gazed in the wrong place" XD that gets me every time!
So Dartz turned the human knights into dragons to weaken them... is it just me, or does anyone else see any problems with this logic?
Obviously Dartz is a genius! Giving knights the power of dragons, of course they would get weaker!
***** No, a *human* ultimate weapon is his damn fist, or leg.
***** their minds were never suppressed though, so wouldn't they have basically been the same, only with stronger bodies and abilities?
NickxBobie sometimes is better being a complete powerfull experienced knight than just a "big superior" dragon ... being dragons was like a curse for them cause that form sealed their true powers and they weren't themselves anymore therefore they became weaker because of that, in fact who do you think that kill dragons "in a regular basis"? *badass knights >:}*

"In the name of Atlantis, we have been reborn!"
*TOKUSENTAI, TOKUSENTAI, TOKUSENTAI*
💁🙅🙆
2:23 a BIG fun fact: In the original dub, Dartz was unaware of what the Legendary Dragons looked like in their human form
This is amazing, but does anyone know where to get a better quality video
Melbester9 right but they are all nerfed to hell, except mirror force dragon, he's op as shit
It's a shame you can't really find this online anymore. I tried but it only shows up for episodes from GX and beyond
u looking in the wrong places my friend. www.watchcartoononline.com/yu-gi-oh-episode-181-english-dubbed i hope i dont get like reported for this lol
you know i actually typed that in on google and everything but the original yugioh came up. thanks for the help finding it though
Aaron Cabello Try Hulu.
Kiss anime has them all in dubbed and subbed, as well as the movies.
I'm rewatching
Yeah the voice acting was cool there.
Nostalgia! Also these guys are finaly getting released.
As cards?
***** The Dragons of legend booster set has Timaeus finally(but as spell card) The set also has alot of card from this story arc hopefully
Barrington We're getting Critaeus and Hermos now too.
finally. Ive got all the timaeus cards anyway
Barrington I only recently got back into Yu-Gi-Oh and and slowly but surely building a "Fantasy Deck" filled with Dragons, Warriors, and Spellcasters. The Legendary Knights will be the centerpiece of the deck.

Christian Evans soul stealing was a power of the eye not a card
Rafael had cards from way before Pegasus introduced the game to the market. Same goes for the Orichalcos and the Millennium Items, which have existed since ancient times.
Go Yami!!!!!!!!
0:13
Tell Me!
Well you'll find out, I'm about to summon it.
Tributing any Warrior-type Monster will do.
That's it pal, you just messed the wrong egyptian!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Derek962 can you put up or direct me to a video showing Dartz's defeat
Anyone know where I can find the scene showing Dartz defeat
0:14 Can someone tell me what the name of that music is?
I think it's The Eye of Timaeus? Or Timaeus Awakens.
The Eye of Timaeus is a spell card
KoniKoni Trainer Will It’s also a song
How strong do you have to be for a dragon to be your weaker form?
kateandscoutsvids OP AF, apparently. Check their effects.
Critias can practically spam traps from the grave when attacked, and his IRL effect is similar. Neither version has a once per turn clause, either.
Hermos can inherit monster effects from the grave until the End Phase - again, NOT once per turn.

kateandscoutsvids 2,800 attack points, apparently.
How in the world were Timaeus, Critias and Hermos able to talk I am pretty sure that Pegasus didn't make it so the duel disks would make it so the toons could talk
DARTZ YOUR MORE EVIL AS ANUBIS
James Scarborough That's because this Duel goes beyond the Technology of Pegasus, this Duel and all the Monsters are Real which is why The Three Knights can talk with all their Might and Badassery
good
The legendary nights:finally after 10 Melinea in captivity we've been set free i am he who is named timaus and i am sir critias i am known as sir hermos in the name of Atlantis we have been reborn(echo)
The purple knight look like Joey
Nope, he looks like Kaiba
how were the Legendary Knights able to talk I don't remember any of the other cards being able to talk?
Dark Magician Girl and Dark Magician in BBT
Yubel in GX
in the original series none of the other cards could talk
James Scarborough So? Who cares if the other card could talk or not
Dark Magician Girl in this arc actually
The Legendary Knights were Knights first, and cards second, so they could talk.
Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl are actually Mahaad and Mana, and can only talk when being used by Atem with his memories intact.
Yubel was affected by the Light of Destruction, and I think gained the ability to talk after that.
Is this in HD xD
hold on he remove cultic guardian but he used hemos eff to use cultic guardian to save dark magican girl
Scary battle
so we got atem kaiba and joey as the knights voices ok unoriginal much
EnderBorn they also look like them too
nickbx17 yeah
EnderBorn Perhaps it was to drive home the concept of reincarnation (like Takahashi did in the manga), this time, it's from Atlantis to Egypt.
what episode is this
181
what yugioh series is that ?
Ronin Warriors look alike.
So did anyone else see the mistake that Joey had Hermos but the Hermos knight was actually Kaiba? Same with Critias which holder was Kaiba and the knights form actually looked like Joey.
One raigeki or dark hole and dartz could have lost that way too
meatknight8 the second or third layer of the seal stops magic cards from targeting Dartz’s monster
Geh is pretty much guaranteed immune to stuff like that. Insert “that useless card is no match for my monster” bad guy quote.
wait.... when yugi attacked the orichalcos aristeros, it was clearly wayyy stranger than his knights... shouldn't they have been destroyed.... I mean according to the rules you attack a stronger monster in attack mode your monster is destroyed instead... I'm confused

OMG Divine Serpent has infinite power
Richard Crump No, 4 real he has 999.999.999.999 attack
Unless I'm mistaken, I think that somehow Timaeus is the ancestor of Pharaoh Atem, Critias is the ancestor of Kaiba, and Hermos is the ancestor of Joey/Jounichi(sorry if this is spelled incorrectly).
booooooooooo
