for curling your hair i would spray less heat protectant and make sure it’s all dry before you start curling! personally my hair is pretty thick too so i have to hold it on the wand for more time, and i don’t brush out my curls and just let them fall naturally :))

AND for the curling iron I have curly hair and I straighten it and when I curl it I just grab I section and twirl the hair around the wand with the clamp down

I love your videos erika! 🥰 ❤ I have hair very similar to yours and a helpful tip for me is to take a bit of hair (make sure the part on your curling iron without the clamp is facing towards you), then begin at the bottom of the strand and curl AWAY from your face. Once your hair is wrapped around the curling iron (try to make sure each time you wrap your hair around it is touching the hot part and not overlapping hair) wait about 10 seconds and loosen the clamp! I am not very good at explaining things but I hope this helped! ❤😊
I have another tip! hair can look frizzy so I would recommend a frizz product or even doing your hair like take a shower and it’s good to wash your hair 1 to 2 times a week 😁hope this helps
i have a curling iron with a clamp; to use it, all you gotta do is open the clamp, clamp on the end of your hair, let the clamp close and then twist the rest of your hair up around the iron and hold. super easy.
