    Two equal angles ISA 100 mm ×× 100 mm of thickness 10 mm are placed back - to - back and connected to the either side of a gusset plate through a single row of 16 mm diameter rivets in double shear.     while calculating Me and Mp... in (force=stress*area) why did u use area as same for both while stress is triangular for elastic and rectangular for plastic

    In fully plastic state why curvature of beam in infinite sir plz tell me concept with beam diagram

      At plastic state curvature of the beam is not infinite. What I was trying to convey was that if a plastic hinge had formed and then if you had increased the load further then it behaves as a mechanism. But in actual design the load never crosses this plastic limit. You can imagine a freely revolving door for an example which is connected to an actual hinge. Is there any limit on the rotation of such door ?
