Glad to see BOTH of you back out. We've missed seeing Tina in your recent videos. You two together are so fun. Your adventures have inspired us to get out and do more hiking. Thanks for your videos.
We definitely need to get out together more often. She's been really busy at work and has some other (good) family things to attend to recently, but hopefully we're on a better schedule soon.
Jerry, thank you for showing me this “Because in the end, you won't remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain.”. My wife and I are inspired by yours and Tina’s videos.
Jerry , someday you will learn from Tina`s wisdom. When your wife says lets go get Mexican food you go get Mexican food. I am older than you, trust me I know. Thomas, Grand Junction, Colorado
I've been watching your channel for a while now, and you have some of the best videos when it comes to hiking. Beauty and informative. What's not to love. I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers.
Climbing a rock or helping out Tina, wise choice. Thanks for including the name of the Mexican restaurant. That cave looks really cool, loved the sound of your jackets rubbing on the walls as you tried to stay as close to the wall as possible. As I've said before, thank you!
Awesome video! I loved every moment of this hike. The Soldier Pass Cave was a real highlight for me, it was truly breathtaking. I'm so glad I got to experience this and capture it on camera. Thanks for sharing this amazing adventure with us!
Kind of nice to see that not reaching the final destination happens to other people as well. I do always tell people.. it is not always about the destination, it is about the adventure. I have _so_ many clips that I can't make into a video as there is no good "ending". Great job! Always a pleasure to watch.
You can't argue with a beautiful woman in distress... sprinkle a lil Mexican food on that and you're powerless to her will. That cave was amazing. Sedona looks gorgeous in the winter. Another great video
Amazingly beautiful trail!!!!! I had this in my Playlist (I'm behind), just saw it now and realized I was there last week. 😂 we did the entire loop and visited a few off trail areas. Such a diverse area in one hike.
Super sweet of you to turn back for your bride... but you know Tina...we all know Tina... she would have been just fine if you didn't.. But the fact that you did,,,,,, super sweet. Love you guys. ♡
Love it when you and Tina are together... I hope she can beat her health issues...Good vibes you way..(Really..no kidding)(you know it was a bioweapon..right??)..You are kill'n me with these shots of the Mexican food.. yowser...
Tieeena is back! Hey ~ uphill with slippery rocks and ice ~ no thank you. Mexican all the way. Otherwise this is a lovely hike. Sky is so BLUE and the cactus/inside cave shots - thank you. Jordan (my son's name) Trail made me smile. Always enjoy your films/filming. & Jeeerry, this old lady here likes it when you stick with Tina and have her back ~ in the films and literally. Tina, ok for me to have a little crush on your sweet, funny, smart and ~ easy on the eyes, Jerry? As I am wrinkled, retired, and way over here on the East Coast - MD, Jerry's old stomping ground. Keep safe and well you two. Really enjoy all of your videos.
I don´t know if I have right: In my opinion you are doing the not so hard hiking now. I believe it is the better way! Live hard and die hard is not okay. In Germany we say: " Stay on the ground, you don´t need to rappel!" In other words: It´s better to walk in the National Forrest than to run in a winterstorm up to Angel´s Landing! You understand? I´m 80 now and I always had on my mind: When you walk 80 years you live long! In this sense: The best for you and Tina!
Too funny! We just did this as a loop (Cibola, Soldier's Pass & Brins Mesa) Last Tuesday! It'll be my next hiking video on here on Sunday! The cave is definitely cool & and beautiful. Morning Glory on a different day, maybe! Great video as usual, y'all. 👍🏻
another great video! love this place! if you go back, climb out the top of the cave and hike across and pick up Brins trail back to the lot. great little loop..
I enjoy your adventures. The hikes are beautiful, your photography is wonderful, and the background music always leaves me with new music to enjoy. Keep enjoying the Mexican food. Thanks for sharing.
Such an epic cave. It's kinda spicy, but you can crawl across the ledge at the back of the cave and climb up to the top. The view from up there is awesome!
My wife and I were in sedona last week. we drove by El Patio after visiting Montezumas castle. I got 3 miles down the road as said " hey babe, i think we past an excellent looking mex rest. we're going back!" Best chili relleno Ive had in a long time. I didnt put it together that this was you spot, it just looked like our kind of place. We looked for you on the trails too!
We did this hike last april and it was one of my favorites. It was super windy in that cave though. Gust if wind would blow a little bit of sand into the cave and it would actually sting a bit. I wanted to climb that back wall (you can get on top) but I had too much gear on and there were several people waiting to get up there so I decided not to. I love seeing you guys out hiking. Cheers from the east coast.
The one time you left Tina to go see the waterfall I think it was the Grand Canyon. I got reminded of the time I left my wife doing angles landing at the first flat spot. She didn’t want to talk to me all the way down to the bridge. I’m Glad to see we both are learning our lesson on leaving them on the trail
Ha! Yeah, Tina is pretty patient with me. In my defense, I've been wanting to go to Ribbon Falls for years now and it was right there. But yeah. Probably not smart to separate.
id request that you add closed caption to these videos please other than that I love this channel you have made with detailed descriptions of most of the hikes around.
You guys are great! Me and my girl have done a lot in Arizona because of your vid’s. Love em! Love Arizona! If you ever have the chance to go out to the Bar10 Ranch and to toroweep, you will be blown away.
My younger brother and I took my older parents and my wife up to see this. Can be a little scrappy towards the top but if you have sure feet you’ll be fine.
How is Tina these days? Usually she is the fearless one. I hope her recovery is coming along. I wonder what El Patio thinks of you two guys. Might as well give you a free meal every now and then for featuring them in your videos for years now. I was doing background research on Sedona a while ago and both Flagstaff and Sedona are so much colder than Phoenix. That elevation change keeps it cool and then you go down the grand canyon and its 120 again.
Tina's doing well. Work and other life stuff has us both pretty busy. She is definitely not as fearless as she used to be, but I try to make up for it on my solo adventures.
Hi, I’ve been watching your videos and enjoying them. My husband and I are planning to backpack in Sedona and have been researching a good trail to do. We are going next weekend. I know there is snow stone right before we go. Which trail would you recommend with snow for this backpacking trip?
I may be too late in this response. Personally, I haven't found many backpacking routes in Sedona. We do West Fork every year, but it isn't something you want to do in the winter (too much water/too cold.) I've been eyeing Taylor Cabin, but can't say since I haven't done it. Sedona, we usually car camp and day hike/canyoneer.
Jerry - Dixie from Homemade Wanderlust is about to hike the AZ Trail, south to north. You should reach out to her and do a crossover RUclips video with her when she gets up closer to central Arizona.
I just went last Monday and the weather was perfect. I didn't just go in the cave but I found a way to climb up on top of the cave and took an incredible photo
We usually don't take them on these shorter day hikes. But definitely on longer hikes and when we're backpacking with heavy packs. Plus I figured there would be some climbing up to Morning Glory, if we'd made it to the top.
Thank you, Jerry! Always look forward to watching your adventures! Side question, what upgrades have you done to your Tacoma and 4Runner? Tires, lift kit?
Got up way too early when the weather was way too cold. Even then we were surprised to be the only ones there. We passed a bunch of people going in on our way out. Sedona. That's how it is.
@@JerryArizona I figured you were using a 13 or 14. Occasionally I will film my backpacks to share with friends and family and the faux bokeh looked familiar.
They're hiking pants, I guess. Denim isn't great for hiking. Personally, I like the low cut shoes over boots. They are Altra Olympus and are actually hiking shoes with soles made for this type of terrain. But I know a lot of people do prefer the ankle support from hiking boots. I use them from time to time, but it depends on the conditions.
It she ever in a good mood? In almost every random video of yours I have watched all she does is swear, complain...etc.etc. Is that just part of what you tell her to do....or is that just really how she is? She for sure likes to eat ! LOL

I suffer from summit fever....but I'm getting better. I turned around this time!

Joan in Page....
Glad you enjoy them! Also, slightly jealous of where you live...One of my favorite areas.

So happy to see Tina back!! My hubby and I love your adventures, we are in Phoenix and now have a bucket list of hikes we want to do. You guys rock!

Thanks, man. Definitely the right choice.

I have a broken leg and can’t do fun stuff right now…. Enjoyed the beautiful trail and margaritas ❤ thanks for sharing
Hope you're back out there soon!
It's good to see you and welcome back.

Got a few recommendations to climb out. Now I have to go back. (I'm not complaining.)
What a beautiful cave amazing, short video but enjoyable to watch. Thanks for sharing, and Tina lots of ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤from us ladies in Florida 🤗❤️😘🌻
Hopefully we both get out again soon. Gonna be a short pause on the vids while we catch up on some IRL stuff.

There's a canyoneering route up there that I think goes up through the cave. Definitely gonna have to do it one of these days.
@@JerryArizona Woah! We didnt know that! Might have to make a run out there once the weather turns around!
Awesome looking cave!
I ran into you guys this day lol - love your videos!

Ha! We were just there again this past weekend. Love El Patio! We have some salsa in the fridge right now, actually.
Love this place! I was lucky enough to be there when there were no crowds in January!

It was pretty awesome! 👏🥾
EACH AND EVERY VIDEO YOU MAKE INSPIRES ME TO MOVE TO ARIZONA. SO BEAUTIFUL
I did, and have no regrets.
Best decision I've made....well, aside from marrying Tina.
You guys are great! Me and my girl have done a lot in Arizona because of your vid’s. Love em! Love Arizona!
If you ever have the chance to go out to the Bar10 Ranch and to toroweep, you will be blown away.
Went to Toroweap last year. It was great. I'll need to look into Bar 10.
Ah, Sedona! If only the parking lots at the trail heads weren’t perpetually full.
Gotta go eeeeeaaaarly. And when it's too cold or too hot. And sometimes to places that require a backpack or ropes to access. But yeah. It's crowded.
My younger brother and I took my older parents and my wife up to see this. Can be a little scrappy towards the top but if you have sure feet you’ll be fine.
Nice find on that cave!
Been meaning to get there for years now...
wow what a cool place!
Love your videos, Wish i had your ambition. In the winter , try some lower elevation. Much warmer.
Usually this is my Superstition or southern AZ time of year. But Tina isn't a big fan of cactus having grown up in AZ.
How is Tina these days? Usually she is the fearless one. I hope her recovery is coming along. I wonder what El Patio thinks of you two guys. Might as well give you a free meal every now and then for featuring them in your videos for years now.

It is always a good day with Mexican Food! Pretty area
nice. Good to see Tina,,, and I agree, don't have to bust your butt to get to the top...
El Patio FTW! Great video!
We always joke that they need to have a table reserved for us at this point.
Jerry - Dixie from Homemade Wanderlust is about to hike the AZ Trail, south to north. You should reach out to her and do a crossover RUclips video with her when she gets up closer to central Arizona.
I imagine Dixie gets a ton of those types of requests. Would be cool to run into her though. She seems like a really nice, laid back person.
Now I know where my next hike will be.
thx !
Awesome sauce
That is SO cool!
Wow!!!
I just went last Monday and the weather was perfect. I didn't just go in the cave but I found a way to climb up on top of the cave and took an incredible photo
There's a canyoneering route out there I need to try. I wonder if you did the approach. One of these days....
Tina loves Mexican food i think!!
Are we having the big meetup this month at Aunt Chiladas? Timmy C Arizona
ahem . . . . trekking poles. Pleeeeze?
We usually don't take them on these shorter day hikes. But definitely on longer hikes and when we're backpacking with heavy packs. Plus I figured there would be some climbing up to Morning Glory, if we'd made it to the top.
Thank you, Jerry! Always look forward to watching your adventures!
Side question, what upgrades have you done to your Tacoma and 4Runner? Tires, lift kit?
Thanks! We got offroad tires (I forget the brand and am too lazy to go check in the garage) and put a slight lift on both. Absolutely worth it.
@@JerryArizona Thank you!
I swear I need to move out west...
I love it out here.....

Parts. I've been playing around with the fake bokeh in cinematic mode on my iPhone 13. Lighter than my EOSR. But still mostly on GoPro.

Seem to be wearing just tennis shoes most of the time. No need for hiking boots? Not worried about sprained ankles?

Tina is awesome. I'm kinda a jerk who knows how to shove a camera in her face in those moments when she's suffering.
