When I was in Madrid and Rome, I thoroughly enjoyed watching how stylish and put together older people looked. Simple but elegant. Stark contrast being in America where jeans and sneakers are ubiquitous.

I am an American and I love my
jeans and tennis shoes.
I detest jeans and sneakers and flip flops. And what I disliked mire than anything in the USA..was the way people dressed to go to a restaurant (generally) and men never remove baseball caps.... not even in a restaurant... I find that so strange ... in the UK men take off hats when going inside... its what we do. But our history and culture go back thousands of years .... and good manners clearly show ....

I'm an 80 year old American woman, and when I was younger in 20-50 ages, women shopped with a friend and both dressed nicely to go out in public. Most of us went down town to shop at nice stores, then had lunch in a nice restaurant. Once malls became more popular, women switched to stretch pants, shopped with the kids in tow and grabbed a burger at McDonalds. Progress has caused us to be more hurried, have less satisfaction, and a loss of culture and style.

A lady in her 70's here who is inspired by Milan streetwear, as well as the stores in my neck of the woods. The older one gets, the more incentive to wear those lovely outfits in your wardrobe. The most expensive of stores do have discounted items, a divine belt can lift the outfit, as does a good handbag, both bought recently for half price and 30% off. The staff in my fave go-to store are wonderful, although the place has a young vibe, I have been able to add a piece every payday, which gives me lovely opportunities to coordinate a monochromatic outfit. The lift to one's spirits wearing resolved styles cannot be emphasised enough.

Мне нравится смотреть на мужчин,,, вот , что значить итальянские мужчины не работают на заводах, пожилые не работали когда то, поэтому выглядят достойно, что не скажешь о русских мужчинах 50-60 летних,,, сейчас пошло абсолютно другое поколение мужчин,, тренажеры, одежда,, и вообще на лице написано, хочу жить по другому,,,,, ну, а женщины, как женщины они везде красивы, элегантны,, в Москве ли, в Милане... Эта улица , эти где девочки отдыхают, шопиться, поэтому все красиво,, иногда не очень, но в таком интерьере улиц все красивы,, мне лично приглянулась немолодая женщина в кроссовках найк😅

Years ago when we were in Rome I couldn't help but notice how fashionable everyone was. Very classy and stylish. Even the men seem to care about fashion. If my husband left the house with bright green trousers on he would be laughed at but these men look stylish. Thank you for the video. I was able to "people watch" from the comfort of my home. :-)
@kgold... back in the 80's my mother went to Europe a couple of times, the thing that struck her was how there was no littering/trash ANYWHERE to be found. THAT (as well) - shows pure class

I think it is, as they grow up being surrounded by beauty, art and culture for centuries.
Milan is beautiful, and so is the northern part of Italy.
Especially hard for the women I have read.
Milan has only 2 area that are beautiful the rest is a shithole I don't even understand how you let people tag over roman ruins and other historical monument. As for fashion I don't see it.

What I realized on my first trip to London was how everyone walked everywhere, and food portions were beautiful but about half the size as the US. Outside of tourists, it was rare to see anyone obese. After three weeks I was in the best shape of my life, but must admit I had a low grade hunger most of the time!

Живу в ЕС и скажу, что не во всех странах пенсионеры так одеваются. Итальянцв , если Вы заметили в возрасте очень поджарые, и тогда больше возможностей разнообразить свой гардероб. В Германии нет таких стильных пенсионеров, форма фигуры, да и менталитет другой. скандинавам вообще все равно во что одеваться. Иногда выглядят очень потрепанными.

I just got back from a Mediterranean cruise and I’m here to tell the people are beautiful! Even the kids are well dressed with good looking hair cuts. Didn’t see any homeless people or “tent” cities. I was very impressed with the athletic look of almost everyone.

They are all stylish. The women don't throw on a pair of leggings, they put in actual effort. None of them are obese either.
