True teamwork, not just "main character uses special attack." Love it.

Fr he went from solo clearing these dungeons to easily leading a team just perfectly based off of there basic abilities

Even better to me is "okay here's a special attack to one shot them" but what about the collateral damage??? "The goblins will cause more." NO, RETHINK IT IDIOT! "Okay, ummmm then you here, you..."
The thing is, this isn't the main character of the story, the three female party with the one shot are the main protagonists. Goblin Slayer is just that good of a side character.
I just love this anime, because they feel like "ordinary" peaplo, they use every spell and every item just to get job done.
It sure is nice change from all those "Overwhelm by strenght or magic"
or "Power of friendship and believing in yourself" I really like it.
I mean you could easily draw connection between how they always get out of danger to how "power of friendship" cliches work but yeah, I would much rather have this sort of battle where every character contributes, then the more typical "OP MC suddenly breaks trough limits and single-handedly wins" fight.
It's not a battle shounen.
So yeah, no power of friendship hear.

Ever watched Gringar? The fights feel so real, because in the beginning everyone are really untrained and later on they sometimes overestimate themselfs.

anyone else surprised that goblin archers are like oddly precise? they dont miss alot of shots
They should send goblins to the stormtrooper academies
If they’re the ones shooting bows in combat, they probably know how to use it
And we’re mainly shown only the ones that would hit their mark anyway

@@buzzlightyearpfp7641 even if they suck at shooting bows (very likely), the only arrows you would notice are the ones that would have almost hit someone
As such they only really show the accurate ones
To be fair, at the distances they fight most of the time, you would need to be horribly bad an archer to miss your shots
They are not ''Precise''. They are simpyl very nromla archers

Damn woman holding back his talents and ingenuity. That actually pisses me off. In certain situations I can understand, like how they couldn't dig a hole in the sewer. But the others clearly killed the enemy and didn't hurt the party much.

Dont you think that half plate armor with the chainmail/ leather combination look absolutely B A D A S S
A lot of armor would have looked like that in the field back in medieval times, because full plate armor was extremely heavy, rather expensive, and generally impractical unless you were fighting a lot of enemy soldiers with heavy weapons like war hammers. Partial plate with mail and leather would have been more common. And yes, it does indeed look badass.
@@netherdominater9960 war hammers were ment to plow through plate armour and shields generally chainmail was more common place because it was cheeper and provides mobility and it protected enough against stabs and slashes or you could just put plating around the vitals

Full plate would give you the best chance against a war hammer but even that wouldn’t guarantee safety against it
Partial plate with mail underneath was far more common because it protected against most of the common weapons

War hammers aren't even that big as anime portrays. Their whole purpose is to be a good bludgeon weapon that can easily damage a wearer of plate armour.
Plate armour isn't really heavy, and you can literally parkour with it.
It wasn't used as much, because it was extremely expensive, hard to produce, and overall, in a battlefield you can be literally beaten to death if you trip over.
Most of time, people used armour/weapons for as long as possible, even their grandfather's *chainmail* because it was so expensive to get a new one.
@@netherdominater9960 Actually full plate isnt all that heavy, around 20 kg, which sounds a lot but the weight is distributed over the whole body and you can get used to it quickly. Its also not that restricting in terms of movement. I have seen people running in plate armor and even doing gymnastics exercises. Its mainly the cost that was the problem (and still is, if you want to buy one :p ). But if you had the choice, you would pretty much always bring it into a battle unless you are fighting on a ship or something. There simply was no better protection. With full plate you can ignore pretty much most battlefield weapons, including ranged attacks, get a twohanded weapon of your choice (you dont really need a shield with full plate) and start killing.
And they say slaying Goblins isnt glorious.

I don't think CGI is bad at all.
It's just that in anime CGI is really only used to save time or money so it looks pretty bad whereas if they'd spend a little more time on it, it would look great.
Like if you look at cinema, some CGI scenes look so good, you can't tell.
@@colonelcider8292 Dragonball Super: Broly is another good example of both ends of the CGI argument. There are some amazing energy attacks using CGI in that movie but they also use it for the characters at one point which is painfully obvious.

I believe he needed time to create a spell of that size so the rest of the team were drawing focus till he was ready to finish them off.

Kinda feels like Me.Dwarf could have handled that himself lol
Needed backup from his team in order to stay safe, and buy time for him to cast (it was mentioned in the show that Dwarven magic is slower to cast compared to others). That being said, Dwarf Shaman was definitely MVP of this battle. With some nice assists from his comrades.

Give the Goblins enough time and they will conquer the waters. These menaces can be leading an industrial revolution right now had Goblin Slayer not kept them in check. I do wonder what more technology in this wonderful universe can do to the different classes. The Technomancer will likely be one and the others will evolve to shine through.

Dwarf Shaman is certainly built like a wombat. Big, voluptuous, round and not to be underestimated. Wombats can mess you up btw, like most things in Australia.

elf girl is seriously the weakest liability on the team. GS's best weapon is his imagination, and she actively restricts him while offering no better alternative. she is the reason people go solo.
But why didn't he use stone blast from the beginning....
They needed to buy time for the ship to get close enough, and for Dwarf Shaman to be able to charge/cast his spell. Also to deal with Goblin leader and archers, for strategical and safety reasons.
Firstly, he needed them to get into range, then he needed to cast it, and it’s been explained that dwarven magic is a lot slower to cast than most.
