That reminds me of days when my father would bring home big bags of cloths & things he had found in the trash while he was at work. He drove a trash truck way back then & was always bringing home treasures that were new to us. I loved it. My older siblings hated it. They always wanted new things. I was used to hand-me-downs so it was no biggie to me. It was like Christmas to me. My mom would make things fit me that were too big because she knew I would at least appreciate both her & my dad's efforts. We were poor & my parents did the best they could. I could see it. I just wish my siblings had been as appreciative of my parents. That would have been nice. Anyway, thanks for giving me another good walk down my memory lane. 😊
I was small town desert, mom and I could look thru syuff dropped off gefore we got to the dump! Everything in there.
I totally know the "It felt like Christmas". I love hand me downs, it was new to me and a lot of times looked brand new too.

@@PurdueAlum01 Ya, my dad drove the trash trucks back in the 70's. It was way different then. Here in Vegas he knew where all the stars lived & they always threw away cool stuff.

I don't understand why people just don't drive a little farther and donate clothes and shoes. Glad you got some for your family and others to donate.

I don't understand how someone can wear someone else's clothes ,so gross to me ,you can buy new clothes for a few bucks if you look around ,it's not so bad with little kids clothing but with people sweating ,farting ,who knows what else in their clothes it's just gross .

I donated to a animal shelter thrift store and their employees were doing the same thing.

Steve and Steph are going on the hunt for green monsters. They roll up to the first one riding their blue steed. Steve tells Steph "You take our fierce Grabber gun and sneak up on it. I'v got your flank". Before Steph reaches the monster she notices it left some of it's bags of goodies outside it's house. She grabs the goodies and quickly hides them in the saddle bags of the blue steed. Steph starts advancing on the monster once again. Using her Grabber gun she slays the monster and rescues a half of a human the monster was snacking on. Steph runs back to Steve and says "On to the next"

there was a forest fire in our town and we were evacuated, they dumped all the merchendicee from Walmart and had guards on it would not let anyone near the stuff. I thought that was a waste of money. Some of the merchentice could have been saved. That was bad.

I was listening to some help at the good will...So much junk is donated that they have hudge trucks that are loaded and taken to the dump...Which is costing alot for over head..

Yes, before covid Steph found a card at home depot and it had a balance in excess of $100. I think that card was found on the floor or in the parking lot of the store. The others she finds have lower balances. She's been lucky.
