    I've been drawing for around a month. The people I've shown my drawings like them. I'm 31, never drew in my life. Interestingly enough I can draw for hours and don't get frustrated or tired much. And it's become addictive. The mental benefits are big. I'm a writer, and my focus has improved too

    This is lovely. I hadn't thought of using shades of grey in ink as opposed to black ink and wash.. this is so effective, it has a lovely softness and warmth

    It’s a joy to do this one, I have loved the ink drawings we’ve done as you know surprisingly I’ve fallen in love with this medium. I’m doing it in A4 as hopefully if turns out ok I’m going to be framing it, I think as I like it so much it will go on one of my walls rather than Frank’s lol. I’m doing a slightly different interpretation but hopefully it will work and be good enough. I just love the variety you bring to your channel there really is something for everyone and can thoroughly recommend people joining you and our wonderful supportive community. Thankyou for making it all possible for people to grow and challenge themselves and truly thrive as artists

    I do enjoy watching your videos. I’m just learning how to sketch and have taken two classes through our local Art Club. I’ve learned a lot but I particularly like texture, old buildings, trees and rocks and rock walls. I’m going to check out Patrion and hopefully the cost in Canadian dollars will not break my pension. Thanks for your great examples.
    Cheers

    Do you have a generic video on how to do generic textures like on brick, shrubbery, grass, etc? I'm a beginner. I started by drawing trees, actually drawing a local tree over and over. Now I've been doing landscapes with charcoal ( to add a misty- foggy effect) but I can't always get a grip on textures. So most of my landscapes look from winter 🤣

    Hi! I just watched a video of yours where you restored your watercolour box. I’m currently in the process of trying to restore an old box myself so I found it very interesting. I’m researching what type of paint to use for the white mixing areas of my box. You mentioned using enamel paint, did that work well for you? Has it stained any? I would be thankful for any help!

    • @smoothie77drawingpainting
      @smoothie77drawingpainting  3 года назад +1

      Hi , yes I use enamel for both the outside and inside of the box, as that's what was originally on it, the box hasn't stained or rusted and looks as good as new, I used plasticote metal protect paint and worked very well, it protects against water and rust, I used the plasicote primer first then finished with the enamel.

      @@smoothie77drawingpainting Thank you, that sounds great! Might I also ask if you remember what brand of enamel you used? Was it a spray paint?

    Hello my friend, I am really amazing and a true artist. Greetings
    I ask you to show the drawing from the first step, because the video begins and the lines have been made, so please start drawing from the beginning of the video. Thank you.
