Years ago when I lived in Georgia, my friend fed many hummingbirds and she noticed one was drinking for too long. She went outside and he didn't fly away. She carefully put her hand around him and gently pulled him out. He had pushed his beak in too far. St. Francis is the Patron saint of animals and he called the birds and animals brothers and sisters. Our sibling creatures. Some of us love creatures from our childhood. I have too many cats to feed birds but the lady next door does and I throw any stuff I have over the fence and always take home fries and tortillas and bread when I eat out. You are so kind to love so many.

HUGE SHOUT OUT for ZUCCHINI!!! For anyone wanting meatballs and trying to go gluten free.... process a cup of oats in a blender/food processor and grate a cup or 2 of zucchini to use in place of bread crumb. I actually prefer the taste and texture ... so tender and moist. Use with any ground meat you prefer.

I love ur channel. This is my first time growing vegetable & fruit garden. I. live in an apartment with backyard but physically unable to tend it and can’t afford to buy supplies even totes. But I have a lot of boxes from Walmart deliveries. So that’s what I’m using as containers and they’re working. I’ve planted zucchini Armenian cucumbers cantaloupe baby watermelon cilantro Tomatoes potatoes bell peppers and onions.

Because of your technique of composting in place, I started burying my kitchen scraps in my raised beds and boy did it add so many nutrients into my soil.

Hey Miss Robbie, on how to clean, scrub the bird's baths I make a natural scrub with twigs especially long ones I bunch them up like a ball or nest like then I put some dirt in it and scrub.
That works nicely and it is all natural, organic.

Please do a video showing us how you get the tomato clippings (Limbs) to get roots. Thanks so much for the video on N,S, E, and W. Sure do hope you never get a thumbs down over it. I thought you did a great job at it. I am closer to 80 than to 70 and I am trying to learn how to grow an organic garden. It is a challenge as my health is failing me, which is why I need the garden. I need a lot of greens, garlic and ginger as my body is not using my food. I dropped from a 128 pound woman to 96 lbs in less than 4 months. Its not cancer, I am malnourished, along with many more health issues. I am not a quitter, where there is life there is hope. When I get discouraged your positive nature gives me hope that I will at some point be successful. I take you with me when I am working on my garden. So thank you so much.

Thank you for another great video. Thank you for the composting ideas. I’m going to see if my poblano pepper and Japanese long eggplants can go to year 3. It was exciting to see them producing this year. Thank you for the idea that I do not need to pull out all vegetables in the fall/ winter. If they die, so be it, if not , Ill revive an already established root system in the spring. This idea is a $ winner for me. And yes, do root crops. Especially potatoes & sweet potatoes. I bought the sweet potato varieties I like from the local Asian store and grew the slips indoors during the spring. All the best!

Thank you Robbie for another informative garden tour. I like to see how everything is growing and which plants grow well in different places. Orange, lemon, papaya, pomegranate trees. WOW! Fantastic! I have wanted to compost in the past, but haven’t because I didn’t want to create critter problems so composting in place may be the perfect solution. I have a lemongrass plant that I think is four years old this summer, but is not doing well, in fact, I’m probably the only one who knows what it is just by looking. It did grow about fifteen inches high this year and seeded. Perhaps it’s starving. Gary’s garden room is coming together nicely. What an inventor. I’m sorry he lost his baby watermelon; he was so happy about growing it. Please show a closeup picture of the flowers on Gary’s aloe plant and the flowers of the moringa tree? Why do you grow a moringa tree; what are it’s benefits? I really enjoy your videos, I learn so much, and I laugh a lot. Thanks again Robbie and Gary. Blessings

Not enough sunshine these days. My yard is filled with the long shadows by 1:30pm. My neighbor's giant pepper tree is mainly the cause of the shadows. I guess I get mostly morning sun, but with morning clouds, the sun doesn't appear until 11am.

Miss Robbie, do you know you have to remove the first female flower so succeeding fruits will be healthy? your cucumber had the same fate as mine, so I researched that practice with American farmers,. I learned from Filipino farmers in Philippines....The reason is plants are too young kind of like a preteen to sustain the first fruit...It needs to be mature to bear healthy fruits..
This applies to all cucurbits, squash, pumpkins, eggplants, okra & more..
Organic nonGMO open pollinated seeds are better for the environment.

Re: brown berry toms - are u getting uniform sized fruit or does it vary for u ?
Pepinos root in water just like tomatoes do
FYI- I’ve learned from my own, Greenhouse will need a fan in the summer and a control for the humidification that happens ( u don’t want mold growing)

🇬🇧 A woman I used to know swore that a layer of copper coins in a bird bath kept it clean but so far I've not tried it. Mine is constantly mucky due to pigeons who drink from it then turn their backs and poop in it. Nature is ok Robbie but rats and pigeons have to have been a mistake by Mother Nature.

Robbie I'm setting up what I have used for several years which is cloth bags. I am putting them in buckets to keep it moist and retain water in the summer heat. Should I cut the bags with some slits to mimic the buckets and totes like you use? I saw some roots from the past get entangled in the wool material but didn't penetrate. The cloth and dirt can absorb from the reserves below but roots can't get through. I filled the buckets halfway today with leaves sticks and such. My bags fit perfectly in there that way. What would you do in this situation?
