I really enjoy his movies, and I respect his talent as a director/actor however.....I believe he is a pedophile. Manhattan is his gem but it is the story of an almost 40 year old man who is with a 17 year old highschool student. Which if you see no issue with that... Or the fact that he simply was in a position that he was the stepfather to his now wife? In love and death one of my other favorite movies by him he literally makes a joke about sex with a 12 year old. The constant underage sexual themes plague these movies and what do we know about actors who produce their own films they always cast themselves they way they want to be seen or with roles they want to act out. It's not that hard to come to the conclusion that he wrote his parts this way because he wanted a teenager to be his love interest when he was damn near 40. So although maybe perhaps sure Dylan may have been coached or maybe perhaps Mia was out to get him for what he did... But there is no way this man is not a sexual predator.

His philosophy changed very much if you see the Origins interview where he says, there is no point in dealing with the real, complicated problems of life and the universe and the only way to survive is to distract yourself, to escape because there are no satisfying answers for the big questions.

@4:12 -- Woody says "I like to...small things", which the interview must have misheard as "I like to smoke" because the French subtitle says "J'aime fumer" ("I like to smoke.")
