The most painful realisation: the person you put your trust, your faith, your very life into was never even a person at all.
They function like creature from a horror movie, a cloud of nanobots that can show up as whatever they need to be to elicit the response from you that they need.
They function like a reaction- seeking artificial intelligence, that feeds from the control it has from the emotions and actions it has power over in others.
This entity does not care about you, no matter how well it simulates empathy. It cares about one thing only : power and adulation.
Its objective is to force you obey and worship its magnificence.
Unmasked and defrocked we see it’s just a wretched Golum full of hate, envy and base desires.
A God of Nothing on a junkyard throne of filth.
