  • Every time one of our Black Belt Instructors is in the studio, we ask them questions we've received from fans like you! We call it our Ask A Black Belt segment and it's a great way to hear a black belt's perspective on all your Jiu Jitsu questions.
This video features Prof. Dean Lister's tips for people beginning their Jiu Jitsu career.
Dean's number one tip is to find an environment that you like and to surround yourself by positive influences.
Once these things are factored in, he says train where you want, be respectful, and when you are traveling then get out and train with other people.
Thanks for watching and we hope this video helped you and your Jiu Jitsu! If you liked this video, please let us know by clicking the like button, and make sure to subscribe so you know when we have new videos.

Love your videos, but I wish you lowered the intro and outro music a bit, and it feels so strange with respect to the balanced type of content the rest of the videos have...

@@noneyabusiness6957 One month into training, how's it like? It took me about 4-6 months before I started understanding *some* things about what's happening and what I'm doing while rolling.
