I find it funny that they market Dean Lister as a UFC fighter and not as an ADCC Absolute Gold Medalist. In the world of grappling I believe the latter is way more impressive.
This is what being passed up looks like. Grappling is not the same sport it was when Dean was known as an innovator and was so dominant. Amazing evolution.
getting passed by would be a match like renzo gracie vs marcelo garcia ( marcelo's at the time new school x guard destroyed, renzo's old school jits which had no answer for it) keenan didn't do anything ''modern'' and deans matches have always looked like this ( if he couldn't catch the guy in a heelhook early that is).... he never was out there being positionally dominant with guard passing mount/side control attack sweeps etc on the ground . he had a great leglock game with good wrestling, plus insane defense, great pacing etc he came from behind in a bunch of those matches (especially in his absolute victory over pe de pano ) and some he would have lost if points had counted the whole time. he's also got insane sub defense and lets subs get crazy deep ( like cacareco's guillotine and pe de pano's side choke)

Which one gets more clicks :)
Why would they ignore 50% of Dean's accomplishments?
It's to attract non grappling fans
Bahahhahhahahaha what a slick reference man, made my day! @@mitchelllax2840
To me n u maybe but the casuals prob haven’t even heard of adcc or understand absolutes lol
Dean Lister is a straight legend. Win, lose or draw, he will always be that. He earned it.
Glad this example of Keenan's expertise was memorialized.
First time watching this guy. He's good
I’ve always wondered what Keenan could have accomplished if he kept competing and was passionate about it

When was this match?
Jan 2015
Keenan was so good
Was this at openweight? Theres no way they are both at same weightclass
Dean lister trying his darnedest to move like he's mentally challenged
It s as if lister does not the basics
An adcc champ doesnt know the basics? Show some respect
God bless youtube comment threads.
@@michaelswann9849 Beijing never shows respect. It only demands it. :))
