Gently place the lens on your eye. You can put it on the center of your eye or on the white part - whatever is more comfortable. Then, when it is on your eye slowly release the upper eyelid and blink a few times to center the contact.
Hi Keni! The more you do it the easier it gets. Just remember, you're putting it on your eye - not in your eye. You're barely touching your eye at all! Always wash/dry your hands before you touch lenses or eyes. Start with right lens, scoop it out of the case and put it on the tip of your finger. Then, use your lens hand to pull down your lower lid. With the other hand, hold your upper eye lid.
Hi Elaine! Lots of teens, and even some pre-teens, wear contact lenses. The average age a kid first gets contacts is 13, but it has been shown that some younger children are mature enough to wear and care for contact lenses. Successful lens wear depends more on responsibility and attitude than age. Seeing an eye doctor will help you figure out whether contact lenses are right for your ten year old. Once your eye doctor meets with your ten year old, you will find out whether it's time!
Hi winterfireflylove. We're happy to hear that you kept trying. We know that you're gonna be fine. All it takes is a little more time and practice, and before you know it, you're gonna be a pro! Way to go winterfireflylove!
I just got my acuvue oasys with hydraclear plus contact lenses. But I have a question, the pack comes with 6 lenses, does that mean a pair of lenses per month?
I wish I had had it that easy on Tuesday! My eye doctor had to get them on and off for me and I have to go back tomorrow to see if I can actually do it by myself. :/
Been wearing ACUVUE for two weeks now. I have the biweekly ones ...oasyss ones I think they are called.. this are the really thin ones. But I have very dry eyes, I have to at least every 2 hrs but eye drops. Will this daily ones help with that problem
Thanks for reaching out, Andy M! We're sorry to hear about the dry eyes you're experiencing and want to learn more. Give us a call at (800) 843-2020 Monday through Friday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm (EST). We look forward to hearing from you!
I hadn't wear contacts for a while and started again today... my left eye got very itchy and red so i started rubbing it, so maybe it goes to right place and the pain goes away( has worked for me before)... I do't know put i think i pressed too hard r something, anyways my eye hurts like hell right now...
Hi danialani! The wearing schedule we supply on our ACUVUE® website is a general recommendation based on testing we’ve done across a wide range of patients. Your eye doctor is the best person to know what is right for you and your contacts. To help keep your lenses feeling comfortable and your eyes healthy, always follow your eye doctor’s recommended wearing schedule.
We're sorry to hear you didn’t have such a stellar experience with our contacts. Please accept our apologies. To better understand and address your concerns, we'll be reaching out to you shortly to gather more details. Thanks for letting us know about this.
Hi Amiya! That's a great question. It’s as easy as the "1-2-3"printed on the side of most ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses. If it's inside out, the 1-2-3 will appear reversed when viewed from the side. Otherwise, place the lens on your finger so that a cup is formed. Then hold the lens so you're looking at the side of the cup. If the top edges of the lens are flared out, it's inside out, and upon insertion will likely feel uncomfortable. If the top edges point up, resembling a bowl shape, it's in the correct position. Let us know if you have any other questions :)
See, my problem is that contacts make my eyes itchy, they get so dry on my eyes that it gives me headaches. This was 3 years ago. My eyes would dry out with the contacts and so i switched back to glasses and they are more comfortable for me. I was thinking about the ones that you dispose of every day.
why do I can't get my contacts lenses get on and off easy... its my first time to wear Acuvue, before I wear hard contacts lenses. every time I want to apply it, my eyes reflects to blink so its always failed...it takes about 10 minutes for me to apply it and so do to get off it... :(
@fashionbug9880 I was constantly rewetting my eyes that I would use a small bottle of eyedrops up in 2 days maybe 3. They just don't work for me. My doctor did prescribe a new pair that just came out a short while ago, they seem to work, and I like to use it for when I go jogging or exercising or the ice rink so my glasses don't get fogged up. Anyways, they still make my eyes feel a little funny and dry but it's not too bad.
%100 oxygen flow ? is this for real ? I dont think so because my eyes get red when I wear my lenses for a long time, but I hope one day it will be real

Hi darky121212! While they are fine to wear on a rainy day, but exposing contact lenses to water during swimming or showering may increase the risk of serious infection from microorganisms. Ask your eye doctor about wearing contact lenses during activities involving exposure to water.
In the case of contact lenses, suffering is self made. You musn't of used enough solution, or you just did a lot of activities that involve dirt or other small things getting in your eyes. Or you could've just had bad lenses :P
We're glad you got the hang of it so quick, Pearl! Thanks for being a fan of ACUVUE®!

Do all contact lenses have something so that you'll know if your contacts are inside out?
