Firstly: what a fabulous pedal! That said and not to piss on your fireworks but: a Behringer SF300 + a Caline 10 band Equaliser would cost around £60 and do most of what that this pedal does. This pedal cost around £240. I'm all for independant pedal builders and I know they have overheads but that price is too much for me...

Totally get that - I think a big reason they even built this in the first place is because the SF300s kept failing. This has been heavily tweaked an expanded upon, and the bonus is that it's all housed within one unit. You'd need a parametric EQ to nail the EQ bands of the HM-2, and for the pre/post boost section, you'd need two boosts or a loop switcher. The modes cycle through the Boss FZ-2, the SF300, and the MT-2. I appreciate you commenting to open up this discussion regardless

@@KaiDown YW. It's undoubtedly a fabulous pedal and maybe at £150 I'd buy one (I'll keep my eyes on used ones in a year or 2 maybe)! The boss HM2 is a unique sound: I used one exclusively on my bands [Concrete Sox] debut album [Your Turn Next (c) 1985] [ shameless plug: ruclips.net/video/vsTfb5vq7ks/видео.html ]. I don't have time to do gear reviews (even though my wife says I should) but I'm too busy fixing client guitars. If you come across one, maybe you could demo/review the EHX Sovtek Muff Pi Deluxe:L it's my 'go to' fuzz...
