    very useful information! such a great video! thanks for the info about temp. Ive been experimenting using heaters in my caridina tank last year, so far so good

    My caridinas always stops breeding during winter, neos are breeding all year.
    I have acutally higher temperature in aquariums during winter, since our heating is quite overkill for our house.

    My crystal reds have slowed down as the temperature has changed from 80 to 65 degrees in unheated room. Boas and shadow mosura are breeding in a heated room.

    Im wonderinf if this has been why mine are now not breeding as I dont use heaters and find in the winter the tank temprature stays at around 18c and in summer it goes up to about 24c.

    Been in the hobby for 4 years and never had caridinas stop breeding in the winter. Basement utility room used to get down to 65°F.

      65F is low temp for me - how will Your shrimps mature?

    • @Xerokou
      @Xerokou Год назад

      @ShrimpTimeInt they did well at 65. I started closing the utility room door to raise the temperature for my fish. The temperature now sits around 72°F for the shrimp tanks. They might be doing slightly better but the difference may be negligible.

      @@Xerokou 65 - 72 according to my observation is a huge difference

      I keep mine at about 18c as I was always told they do better in cooler temps. Guess this is why I don't have a lot of breeding happening.
