Verderamme you forgot a main point, and possibly the worst part of that Wilson 2min drill-- after that god awful "scramble" for 4 yards, of course he got tackled in bounds, so the clocks running, every body resets, they lose about 15 seconds of game clock, and that very next play, he got sacked!!!! Which of course was also in bounds, and the Steelers had to blow their only remaining timeout. So then theyre 3rd and 14, no timeouts, at about their own 45 yard line. Thats when he threw the pass to Pickens, where he was open! They had what they wanted! 🤣 But the throw wasnt anywhere close to the receiver! And honestly, the game that pickens had had to that point, I wouldn't be surprised if that was his fault, not Wilson's. But 🤷They really only had time at that point to run one more play, 4th and 14, gotta not only get the yardage needed for a 1st, but then also get down fast enough for the rest of the team to reeset, and spike it with VERY little time remaining, and allow Boswell to attempt the most important kick of his life... whats even WORSE is that throw actually hit Friermuth in the hands!! He was wide open!!! They got exactly what they wanted again and couldn't convert!!! Maybe the pass was a little bit too far in front of the guy?? He had to reach out and snatch it all hands when it was super cold out... But man... They had so many chances!!! And Wilson's awful start to the drive put then in that situation
The Russ scramble was one of the dumbest plays I've seen from a vet in a LONG while. Like Eberfluss level awareness. If I was Cam I would've wanted to sock Wilson too. Your leader is not hurtin' after screwing up a 2 min drill with playoff implications? That's an issue.
