Aajeevika Pashu Sakhi

Small livestock such as goat, sheep, pig, poultry are critical source of income among poor rural households. Mortality and morbidity among livestock among livestock causes economic, social and mental tragedy. In such times, a cadre of women known as Aajeevika Pashu Sakhi (APS) are proving to be a blessing by working as para veterinary worker in the villages. Aajeevika Pashu Sakhi (APS) is a model of livestock extension services provided by women, which was tried out by JSLPS for empowerment of women.
