You should put annotations in the videos or at least put in the description what material you used, because people need to know, was the wire large fuse wire, was it solder wire, was it normal wire from a plug lead..... you get the idea
im a teen trying to make a cool light. i find it pointless to spend a few hundred bucks just to blow some clouds for fun. Unless you're trying to quit smoking those people can fuck off with their vapes
One could question design or soldering skills shown. But... This video is Impeccably made! I watched it with audio off while listening to some great music. The audio wasn't even needed!
because they don't know the amp out put of the 9v or what ohm u would have to make the wire for it to fire an get a good hit its takes some math the get it going really good
Kaddexio it really is i made a bix mod with itor something like it i just made a vape i already got a giod boxmod but tbh when i made this thing it was worked pretty well
This is a good demonstration of how you perform a “cold solder”, which is achieved when you melt solder directly on your soldering iron and drop it over the target area. It basically wont be long before the solder breaks off. What you are tought in soldering 101 beginners class is to apply the iron onto the target to apply heat onto the contact. When the contact reaches the melting temperature of solder then apply solder onto the target. If you’re soldering onto a PCB with ICs then to avoid melting the ICs, you clip a heat sink on the circuit to absorb heat and protect the chips.
Overall this is the best design I have seen. The battery can easily be disconnected for a new battery and the screws and not touching the battery to the point where they would be taking some of the electricity
I mean the author of this channel. The channel is called MrGear, video 3 Awesome Ideas, publication date September 19, it is easy to see in the search by simply looking up this channel.
Because it's fake, I also have tried, but the 9v battery does not have the Ah necessary to make the nichrome.wire glow, you need more Ah, dont look at the voltage
So, I want to make one wich can only go to around 200 °c, and I think that thing is a whole lot hotter. Now, I can imagine you should make the voltage lower for that... But how do you do that?
do you absolutely need nichrome wire? I mean a cigarette lights up at like 480 or about there degrees celsius. If you just have enough heat transfer, steel should do fine right? Maybe it then needs more batteries though.
Dussy4LyfRespawn dude, positive and negative wires aren't different. only the color if you choose to sort the colors. that's only to identify that you know which wire is connected to which pole
In many case it is not working.. I have used Nicrome wire 32 AWG with newly 9v battery..first it got heated slightly than stopped heating.. Than how u got continuously red hot wire.???? Explain this..
I have done everything in the video, but I am using 30 gauge kanthal wire. What you use seems to be thicker. My wire will heat up enough to burn my finger, but not enough to set a fire or even glow orange. @DrScrew, what can I try to fix this issue?
Which gauge of nichrome wire do you use? 26 gauge is too thick and doesn't heat up enough, and 32 gauge vaporizes the second I touch it to a battery. Is 28 gauge right? Or is there another one?
I have a question about how the coils around the bolts affect the flow of electricity in the circuit. Say I used magnet wire instead of larger wire, and I wind it many times before soldering one end to the bolt. Assuming it didn't melt the magnet wire would the additional magnetic field flux as the button first turned on create a spike of DC current going in one direction or the other based on the direction of the coil turns? The coil would act like an induction coil that put some more resistance on the circuit, while converting field flux into current if you wrap it in the right orientation. Would this induced current in the bolt 'core' add to the slightly lower current coming from the terminal wire contacting the bolt and end up being exactly the same on average (albeit spiking higher and dropping lower) as the loss from the increased coil resistance until the flux dropped to zero? Does this have the potential to reverse the current or at least stop it with backwards coil windings?
It will work but it will be messy if u use hot glue As long as the wires are connected properly it should work Without hot glue Jst twist the wires together Dont let the - & + connect
How does he get his copper wiring i have to take things apart to get mine also i really admire that there is so many youtubers that have ugly ones but this is a thing of beauty.
Getting fancy with the spices! Lol, having some fun with the editing? XD You would probably get more subs if you didn't drag the video out so much, like extras that just take up time. Great quality videos, but you could cut some stuff out
I don't want to be harsh in any way. You make great vids. Although I have seen in some of your vids, you have a clip of the same thing in all 4 corners(Air conditioner for example). People get the idea once you do like 1 or 2 than show a photo afterwards. Its not exactly necessary to have a seperate clip for each one. Anyways, hope this helps some :)
Dr. Screw, could this be hacked into a 9v induction heating coil? I so far have found 5v ones but all are AC converted to DC, so there is all the circuitry for that, plus you have a plug that's cumbersome for the application and a tether that's not wanted. I figure if anything perhaps a resistive current limiter to prevent battery overheating and optimize battery life. Any assistance or thoughts you may offer are appreciated. Thanks
So u use same kinda wire u use to spoil with for hot wire ??! soory cant find where to buy the hot wire part :/ i was searching with any wire for an guess i dont think i get anywhere i tough may i use pen spring cause ive used 5 v battery from phone and spring from pen once i havent got lighter sems was the first and the last one good for hot wire i ever find
You should put annotations in the videos or at least put in the description what material you used, because people need to know, was the wire large fuse wire, was it solder wire, was it normal wire from a plug lead..... you get the idea
It was nichrome wire btw (this is found in hair dryers)
is nichrome wire also the stuff inside of Crock Pots/slow cookers? I have some wire from an old one and I'm wondering if it's the same
***** yes it is

+DrScrew also, how much nichrome wire do I use? How long should the wire be?
Таких эффектов не хватает российскому кинематографу )) автор, я нашёл тебе работу
super effects. in Russian cinema lacks such masters ) so that you can go back to work
People who watch this:
20% people trying to make a cool lighter
80% teenagers trying to make a vape
Matěj Předota I agree
im a teen trying to make a cool light. i find it pointless to spend a few hundred bucks just to blow some clouds for fun. Unless you're trying to quit smoking those people can fuck off with their vapes
Matěj Předota true
0.01% are people trying to make a homemade bomb
Teenagers?

good evening!
keep doing more videos!
your video editing is the best I have ever seen so far on youtube (for tutorials)!
congratulations!
Overall this is the best design I have seen. The battery can easily be disconnected for a new battery and the screws and not touching the battery to the point where they would be taking some of the electricity
You should call you channel Dr HotGlue
DrScrew good video, and what is the music?
DrScrew
You stole the idea from channel MrGear, dislike.
Elronix who do you mean
I mean the author of this channel.

Very good video. camera angles, editing, music, everything good well done
You're like a better version of Mr Gear
Yeah, at least everything isnt a " life hack"
It is awesome...👀 we can save money. Why we want to waste money to buy a lighters.. we just DIY! Well done MR SCREW 👏👏
we dont need a 10 second 360 view of the materials thanx
Yeah, do that plz...
Looks great! And is very functional too. Your DIY projects always come out looking so clean and professionally made. Love it.
Anytime. You deserve it completely.
What is the ting you dip the wires in?
solder
No it's called flux solder is the thing that he melted on to the wires and to the battery connector
ok, it's a soldering iron. whatever. the main thing is solder, here.
and what wire did he use that heats up flux solder?
Justin Van Der Merwe not really sure what you mean... He heats up solder and solder flux with a soldering iron, not a wire.
THE QUALITY IS SO BEAUTIFUL
this one should be a lot easier if they talked
*talk
Well,
Very nice. I think I'm going to make a few of these for Christmas presents. Btw when you zoomed on the wire that killed me lol. Nice video man
i like this channel :)
yep. thank you for teaching me how. works great. I recommend other people to watch that video
Any realtion between Dr Screw and Mr Gear? They have similar names and make similar videos lol
Kyle Fairbairn
That's what I was thinking.
most likely operated by the same person and then he makes double the money with the same idea
Doge The Best
lel
one doesn't make videos starting with "EXPERIMENT Glowing 1000 degree KNIFE VS "
Kyle Fairbairn Dr and Mr isn't the same lol
Go to school -_-
Very cool, looks like something outta Fallout 4!
I can't understand why mine won't work. :/ Any description about the wire you can give me? I think that's my problem. :/
I have nichrome wire 0.1mm... And it won't work. :/
Because it's fake, I also have tried, but the 9v battery does not have the Ah necessary to make the nichrome.wire glow, you need more Ah, dont look at the voltage
that ramp up is dope af
looks like someone tried to make a vape at home
I like how you show the materials, you rotate the camera around it (Or vise versa)
This video could've been half shorter if he wouldn't have modelled everything
Best diy RUclipsr
3D print this a case and you got yourself a good emergency lighter
So, I want to make one wich can only go to around 200 °c, and I think that thing is a whole lot hotter. Now, I can imagine you should make the voltage lower for that... But how do you do that?
Vape nation!
Shit Nation 🖕
We can use nichrome wire????
This some jimmy neutron type shit
MAJORxALTERcATiON it's just basic circuitry.
GRADE A+ for the editing its cool
Am I the only one who watch these stuffs but never made one.. :P
no
Nope
Me too...
Cool. What it is good for ? What to do with such a tool ? Serious question. Thanks

Good video dude ! But i think you can put the batterie in the middle of the metal spike.
Sorry, bad using of the words cause i'm french. Bye guys
microscopic view was epic lol
do you absolutely need nichrome wire? I mean a cigarette lights up at like 480 or about there degrees celsius. If you just have enough heat transfer, steel should do fine right? Maybe it then needs more batteries though.
is taht nichrome wire
adhithya srivatsan yeah
Next time put the names of the things you're using goddammit
If you put a wick in the coil and fill it with some ejuice, would it act like a vape?
What is the sliver wire called? anyone?
solder
FameFFA you can try, depends what kind of spring it is, depending if it conducts the electricity
Jerome its called jerome
does wrapping the wire around the posts increase the voltage?
Do you need to spin around every tool to make an DIY projects? XD
DrScrew, what kind of wire did you use to make heat. Was it nichrome wire? and great video as always!
yes it is nicrome, feel free to subscribe to my channel
Thank you! I will subscribe because you're helpful
u can make vape pen out of this
itsjustcaleb notnpen but a mod
Does the battery get hot? Seems a bit much for a little 9 volt
Wow its a battery! You dont have to showcase every single thing you use
GamingwithCabes same!, he culd just put in a text when hes putting it all together
I have successfully made a vape... it works awesome😍😍
without the annoying camera effects this vid could last 2 minutes
That's facts
This would be a great tool for survival
hahahahahahaha, profesionalno uradjeno :)
tocno tako :)))
ja sam tvoj subscriber vec od kad si imao oko 10 subscribera.
DrScrew do they have to be multi core wires or can this work with single core positive and negative wires?
Dussy4LyfRespawn dude, positive and negative wires aren't different. only the color if you choose to sort the colors. that's only to identify that you know which wire is connected to which pole
Jens Hendriks thank you.
how do you shoot those round closeup shots? looks amazing...
No.... But it helps light things instead of burning right through them... Even if he did not wrap it... It would still catch on fire
Your adding to much hot glue
Ikr
wasn't that epoxy or another glue?
Nate Renzelman again brainless people its not necessary but the point is he wanted to... did it effect the funcionality of the lighter no...
What wire do you choose on the top of electric lighter Nichrom wire???
can I vape with this
Yea
it's awesome. thank you very much
I am early but not that early
What wire did you use for the heater the one that looks like a spring
MacGyver 👍 😃
i know
Where do you put the wire before solder it? It is like a cream
flux, please subscribe to my diy channel
We get it, you vape
sir could you please tell me that from where you get that nicrome wire, or hot wire which can easily get heated,
is it soldering wire
cOOL
@@DrScrew please tell me which wire use

I think you are overthinking and it is just for design.
I love you . Very super and clear video by nice zoom effects :D
Khone sa taar se heater aliment spring banaya help
Really want to do it, but wouldnt the 9v run out of power really quickly?
That really good video but my one problem which wire you used for burning
Please never stop making videos
would the battery not explode after long-term shorting out?
Instead of using the soldering iron, can you use hotglue? or would that not work?
That would be messy
It will work but it will be messy if u use hot glue
As long as the wires are connected properly it should work
Without hot glue
Jst twist the wires together
Dont let the - & + connect
Its okay when the - & + connect when there is a nichrome wire
Like he used there
Wouldnt the screws heat up enough to melt the hot glue?
How does he get his copper wiring i have to take things apart to get mine also i really admire that there is so many youtubers that have ugly ones but this is a thing of beauty.
I got 9V batter and NiCrom wire but it doesn't heat up.. What can be wrong? What type of NiCrom wire did you use?
great video 👌, and very professional. keep up the good work
I'm just wondering what wire you used for the coil
What's in the tube in which u r putting the wires before soldering
