You should put annotations in the videos or at least put in the description what material you used, because people need to know, was the wire large fuse wire, was it solder wire, was it normal wire from a plug lead..... you get the idea

It was nichrome wire btw (this is found in hair dryers)

This is a good demonstration of how you perform a “cold solder”, which is achieved when you melt solder directly on your soldering iron and drop it over the target area. It basically wont be long before the solder breaks off.
What you are tought in soldering 101 beginners class is to apply the iron onto the target to apply heat onto the contact. When the contact reaches the melting temperature of solder then apply solder onto the target. If you’re soldering onto a PCB with ICs then to avoid melting the ICs, you clip a heat sink on the circuit to absorb heat and protect the chips.

  • @scienceminded

I have a question about how the coils around the bolts affect the flow of electricity in the circuit. Say I used magnet wire instead of larger wire, and I wind it many times before soldering one end to the bolt. Assuming it didn't melt the magnet wire would the additional magnetic field flux as the button first turned on create a spike of DC current going in one direction or the other based on the direction of the coil turns? The coil would act like an induction coil that put some more resistance on the circuit, while converting field flux into current if you wrap it in the right orientation. Would this induced current in the bolt 'core' add to the slightly lower current coming from the terminal wire contacting the bolt and end up being exactly the same on average (albeit spiking higher and dropping lower) as the loss from the increased coil resistance until the flux dropped to zero? Does this have the potential to reverse the current or at least stop it with backwards coil windings?

Wouldnt the screws heat up enough to melt the hot glue?

How does he get his copper wiring i have to take things apart to get mine also i really admire that there is so many youtubers that have ugly ones but this is a thing of beauty.

I got 9V batter and NiCrom wire but it doesn't heat up.. What can be wrong? What type of NiCrom wire did you use?

Getting fancy with the spices! Lol, having some fun with the editing? XD You would probably get more subs if you didn't drag the video out so much, like extras that just take up time. Great quality videos, but you could cut some stuff out

I don't want to be harsh in any way. You make great vids. Although I have seen in some of your vids, you have a clip of the same thing in all 4 corners(Air conditioner for example). People get the idea once you do like 1 or 2 than show a photo afterwards. Its not exactly necessary to have a seperate clip for each one. Anyways, hope this helps some :)

I have not that type of screw what can i use instead of it

Dr. Screw, could this be hacked into a 9v induction heating coil? I so far have found 5v ones but all are AC converted to DC, so there is all the circuitry for that, plus you have a plug that's cumbersome for the application and a tether that's not wanted. I figure if anything perhaps a resistive current limiter to prevent battery overheating and optimize battery life.
Any assistance or thoughts you may offer are appreciated. Thanks
