    I just picked up one of these used. The Brown Eye and the Small Box alone would be worth the price. I’ve got a Helix too And the Brown Eye is every bit as good as the one on the helix. The Small Box is my favorite amp ever and Mooer nailed it.

    Just bought a zoom g1x four. No regerts ;) less features to muck with when I'm just trying to practice for a few before going to work or sleep, smaller footprint to take up less room when I go glamping, and make use of it being battery powered, and if it gets bounced around too much it's 100 bucks compared to 750. So for all the people asking if it's worth it, it all depends on your needs! (The zoom is my otg/practice solution, jamming at home or with friends I use a vox combo and for recording I have amplitube)

    Sounds great! Hey back in 2017ish I think, you guys did a comparison video between a hesu speaker vs a V30, in which I can watch over and over again. Such a awesome video! Any chances of you doing more 'real' speaker comparisons?

      @@ZOMBIELANDakaUSA I'm not sure if you were asking me ,but for the sake of information I have not tried it. I have the GE200 and I like Ampero slightly more but to be fair, I have neither hooked up either to computer nor used third party IR's. That's when these unit's come alive. I actually really love my Atomic Amps AmpliFIRE 6 !!! It's simple but really nails some great amps and has FX that are fine with me. It has FX loop if you need your Strymons and Eventides which I totally get. I just want to play and I work on technique and believe in the whole tone is in the hands school. I'm not rich and i can't buy every new piece of gear that comes along although that never stoped me before lol. I will be fucking murdered if I buy anymore kit (Woman). I am however going to get another L.P. Standard or Custom depending on the deal and condition.That or a Mayones Regius. I'm 54 but I keep my eyes and ears open. Hidden treasures in Eastern Europe, the Slavic countries, Polska, and Russia and that's a fact.I have to have a high end Guitar or it's just not motivating or fun.I've had some of the best guitars ever made and I recommend the best if your really serious about playing.Schecters and Ibanez are fine, and I've had 'em all.Still do have a few. This thing seems like genuine competition for Helix, Fractal, Kemper etc, modelling wise at least...my questions are:
    How is the GUI and ease of use compared to Helix and Fractal, and how are the effects?

    • @Avatar7x7
      @Avatar7x7 5 лет назад

      Can't mess with the Kemper ... the Fractal sounds better than the Mooer unit as well..It is hard to evaluate the quality of this or any modeler when you always start out with High gain tones.. The better modelers shine thru with edge of break up tones, low gain, clean tones and rolling back your guitars volume on high gain tones to see how well the tone holds up ! The better modelers have nice definition even on Hi gain tones.. this unit gets cloudy and lacks definition when it's in high gain territory .. The Kemper sounds the most realistic to me !

    • @rickfeith6372
      @rickfeith6372 5 лет назад +1

      I'm a Fractal fugazee. I am full on disappointed that Kemper didn't make more progress on their platform with the floor unit. I like the component level modelling approach the best. That being said, I've never sat down with a Kemp. I always thought they were super hideous...the floor unit looks way better in my opinion, but the Axe Fx 3 takes best rack, and Helix looks best on the floor. Why did they use a 10 year old looking monochrome display on the new Kemp??? I think they missed a huge opportunity there. I am gonna buy another guitar before I go new modeller shopping...I want an early 2010s Music Man JP6 BFR with a tobacco burst finish and ebony board. Used it will probably be $2500. I missed a GORGEOUS one on NYC Craigslist for $2K....I call it the one that got away. They are super rare, and as of Friday night there wasn't a single on eBay or Reverb. I might have to get a JPXI like Choppy has...it is the closest to what I want, and SURPRISINGLY is one of only a few with ebony. I can live with black onyx. They are MUCH more plentiful, thats for sure.

    • @Avatar7x7
      @Avatar7x7 5 лет назад

      @@rickfeith6372 Aesthetics aside I think the Kemper sounds the more realistic but the New Axe FX ain't bad at tall.. comes down to personal taste.. no right or wrong on this one !

    Stupid question maybe, but do you need Speaker Cables to go from processor to say a Headrush FRFR 12 or is Instrument Cables OK ? I have the GE200 and have not unboxed it yet. Wish I would have known this was coming out ! I heard the 300 was shelved because another Processor Co. was taking Mooer to court over using their design ? Any opinions on the 200 model ? I have Headrush, Helix lt, HD 500X, Atomic AA 6, and Ampero all in boxes ready to use. I just had to get the speakers and have such awesome amps and pedals I haven't gotten to them yet smh. Not bragging either. For years I had 1 amp w/ a couple of pedals. Delay and Chorus. Had a few decent guitars but worked my ass off to get my gear and then had to upgrade my 2009 MAC to make usable. These things cost money and I'm not rich and don't have enough time to play and learn technically gear and I'm computer Challenged. I just don't want to ruin my processors using the wrong Cables ! So Please somebody if you could let me know if I need Speaker Cables for Powered FRFR Speakers ???

    • @punkpop101
      @punkpop101 5 лет назад

      I don't think they are that important like in a traditional guitar cab and a tube amp so try them out without a speaker cable and see for yourself.

    • @Jmdeclue
      @Jmdeclue 5 лет назад +2

      You can use an instrument cable. A balanced cable with XLR and/or TRS connectors is probably best. Since the amplifier is in the speaker, the frfr-112, you are pushing hardly any power through the cable. I used some instrument cables until I grabbed some good balanced cables for my headrush pedalboard and my pair of frfr’s.

    • @Stefan-
      @Stefan- 5 лет назад +1

      Output from a pedal like this is line level, so dont use a speaker cable since its not shielded and may pickup noise, it wont hurt anything if you do, but the sound quality may suffer. For this you need either a instrument cable or a line level cable TRS or XLR (mic cable), only use speaker cable from a poweramp to a passive speaker, like an amp head to a 4x12 for example.

    In live situations rigs like this get lost in the mix. Real musicians predominantly use tube amps as they tend to cut through the mix, in addition to sounding better than anything else. Nice toy though ~ probably fun to play with for a time.

      @@johng9562 Hey, Amps and specialized pedals do sound great and I respect the purist point of view, but the Point is to keep from having to lug around gear and keep from breaking your back and todays processors are very impressive. Save the Amps and pedals and rack gear for the studio. Hey, If you have Roadies to load, carry,and set everything up for you and that's the way you want to go then cool.

    • @johng9562

      They DO NOT sound the same Live ~ vastly inferior to Tube Amps. You can get away with using modeling gear ONLY in the studio.
