Nobody throws a block party like the MLHFamily!!! cause the BLOCK PARTY don't stop! Great Job everyone. Always fun seeing you all having fun while getting the projects completed.
Nothing ever goes to waste. The whole family is incredible with these projects. I've never been very mechanically inclined, but you guys are really inspirational.
I think your next build should be a room for Ben! He has worked really hard helping his friends with a lot of different projects and he is around almost as much as the rest of the family and he would love it!!! And it would be great to watch the build.
So now that your thinking of maybe connecting these two buildings, I saw a really cool video here on you tube that earthship did where they did a hanger shaped roof. They bend rebar in arches, tied them together with more rebard and covered the entire roof with chicken wire, then they dipped old cloths in concrete and laid them on the chicken wire that when dried made a had shell. after that they covered it with cob. it turned out to be very strong and pretty cool looking. Now, go for it.
I saw a tiny house where the whole roof was made of concrete. If I recall correctly, they had a giant pile of sand that they rounded off into an upside dish shape, then they layer a decorative rock pattern which you would see after the concrete was poured on top, set, and the sand later excavated out from underneath. I can't remember the walls were done--which is really essential & integral to a build like this as you wouldn't want a concrete slab to fall on you if walls gave way. It was BEAUTIFUL, though. It was like a Hobit house from the shire though. There are lots of crazy things one can do. Apparentlybtge Romans had done things like this before. I thought it was ingenious to pour the concrete for a Domed roof, then excavatebelow to reveal a pre-planned cavity for a living space.
I absolutely love yall definition and reasoning for the junk pile!!!! Yes having that as a child or shoot even grown ABSOLUTELY gets the mind going and possibilities are endless!!! This is truly the dream yall!!
You guys and gals give good joy and happiness to the world! Your goofiness is loveable and i laugh and chuckle with every video you make. I love it! You all have a wonderful sense of humor and i love your puns. It is just fun to watch your family and friends. I know you dont show the bad days because we all have them and nobody is perfect but you really show what real love in a family is like. I just wanted to say thank you for what you do and the time you take to make these videos!
Gary and Shelly have done a marvelous job in raising their kids, they can now be anything they want in this world; the blocks were carefully laid to make them self sufficient, creative, hard working and work as a team
We love you guys! You are all so inspirational and motivating. We are just starting a homestead in Northern Nevada, and you have really helped us not get discouraged with our progress or lack of. Plus your ideas are helping us brainstorm on how to get self sufficient. Thanks for all your beautiful projects and sharing. Love and Prayers,
It was fun taking a look back and watching all the fun again!!! Yes, Shelly needs to be on camera more!! I do remember Ben's contribution, but he was so wonderful. He has creativity, he is an actor & a flare for opera. Yep, he sure fits right in, perfectly, with the whole family, he's amazing!! Bree is so punny! Take care and God Bless you all.
It's so cool to see how much Gary has taught his kids, especially Bryson, who could be an engineer or architect probably without having to learn much more now
In the USA maybe! In Europa, especially Germany and Austria, you must have a serious Job education, otherwise, you are not allowed to do this Business - and you don´t get a Job either! And, for being an architect, you have to study at a technical university too. You must know all the necessary calculations that are needed for the job - especially static forces in a structure/Building!! In Europe, you must have the proper papers and licenses to prove if you are capable of doing a certain job - or not! Or: Try to be a contractor for the electric installation of a House? Without the proper Papers, you have no chance at all...
i really love how these projects go from "lets build a structure on this pad here so we can connect them in the future!" to "hey look theres a ton of really neat gears and an engine block, lets put them in the walls!" the creativity is so much fun to watch !! and ben even got into it :D
Guys, I think you should dedicate a special vid for your dad and for your mom. I mean SPECIFIC AND A SPECIAL ONE FOR EACH ONE, dedicating like a celebration for everything they've done and been there with you guys since the beginning. Ur parents are amazing and done so much so far about building all that beautiful Disneyland house for all of u guys. Lovely and it's definitely a Bless you all to be able to work on all kinds of projects together!
I'm so proud of these kids and they arent even mine. Hopefully I will be able to do a stellar job, like their parents have, and get some well rounded, productive kids, out of the bargain one day. Kudos Homestead Parents !
Hi! I am new to your cologne, but I love the way you interact and work as a family. I love how the mum and dad let the kids imagination run riot in the builds and constantly encourage and praise them, or if the idea is too quirky or possibly dangerous you gently guide them to see the problem or help them change their minds. Love it! Binge watching your vlogs now.
My daughter (6years old) and I really love all of you ❤️ Your family is SO fun and refreshing. I feel like with the life I live (in the city) is draining, and demanding. I come home from work and watch you while I cook, clean or before bed and it is so calming to just watch your creativity and spunk. I love the family dynamic you have. You're fun, intelligent, creative, you all seem so happy just to live life and build things to better your land and family. When I grow up (I'm 30 🤣)... I want to be #mylittlehomstead #familygoals #punny
”A documentary of mom!” 🏆yes!!! That would be wonderful!!! And... It could be a surprise Christmas gift to her. A documentary of dad would be a super honoring Christmas gift toooo Gosh a ”day in the life” of each of u!!! Would be so awesome!!! Each person could make their own episode and share what you want us to know about u. Then in the last 10 min of blooper clips family members could add clips of how they see the family member. Bre’s top 100 puns ---- awesome video idea toooo 🏆✨⭐️✨⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

On the Covid 19 Lock down and started binge watching. Started with Tire houses and found you guys. Funny thing is I own property in SS off the I-10 before you pass into NM. I saw the episode that you used the mesquite branches for the stair rails and have been hooked. I like the ease of the the fill of the bags and the shaping you are able to do for your walls. Your kids are amazing. I am happy that we are in the same state as I don't have to wonder if I can do it also. Keep up the great work.
Watching just to count Bree's puns, I think they are hidden gems but don't get jaded when their eyes roll. I'm going to JET because I can't mine any more jewel puns.
All of you are naturals. Thank you for all the extra info and making watching this pleasurable and knowledgeable. The kids need their own show on tv. They're great! I wish I was your neighbor. Can't wait to see more video's.
