I have a whole list of songs I sing. My mom died when I was 7 and I only know of one song she listened to. My god mom came to my house one day (my moms best friend) she said “boy you know all they songs was your momma favorite. She use to play them loud and drive around listening to it before she passed away”. I smile now because my daughter is 5 and loves Earth Wind and Fire and all the songs I love. I know she is smiling in heaven at her grandchild. My daughter had my moms name for her middle name
Correction I have two daughters with my moms name as a middle name just different spelling. My mom name was Janie. My daughters middle names are Janai (Ja-nay) and Jhené (ja-nay)
I wish your mom and daughters had the chance to be in each other's lives ❤️ my mom and daughter were best friends, but my mom sadly passed when my kiddo was 5. This was 7 years ago. My kiddo still remembers her all the time and misses her so much 💔 So happy you have a connection between music that links them together and gives you a way to keep your moms memory close
