My concern is adding apps to the CarPodGo: I would like to use a dashcam with four cameras. They have an Android and Apple app, can it be used with this? I don’t really want a second display for the car cams.
So… does it allow for different users driving the car? As in: both my wife and I have an iPhone, and we both want to use the screen when driving individually and we will also travel together of course. And what happens if you are listening to the radio while using satnav? Do the instructions still come through over the car audio system? Or do you hear nothing until you select Bluetooth as a source on de car’s audio settings?
There are six ways to transmit sound to the car. If your car has Bluetooth, in the on-screen display only mode, the phone can connect to the car's Bluetooth to play sound. If your car does not have Bluetooth, there is aux you can plug in the aux Bluetooth receiver, and the phone connects to this Bluetooth playback. If you want to listen to the non-destructive sound quality of the audio source, you can use the phone to connect the car's aux. If the car only has a radio, the phone can be directly connected to Bluetooth to fm Bluetooth transmission. These four methods are recommended. There are two, that is, after the mobile phone connects to carplay, the aux line is connected to the car aux on the screen, or the device fm is transmitted to the car, but the latter two will have a sense of delay.
Mine was already connected to the existing Nissan stereo with Bluetooth which has always sounded very good. The CarPlay screen controls my phone but the sound goes directly to the speakers. It also means that all the steering wheel controls still work, an added bonus I hadn’t mentioned in the video.
Yes one was supplied. I briefly mentioned it at the start. It was one of the many accessories I knew I didn’t need for the car I was using. My other older car would need the Bluetooth adapter or 3.5mm cable and the rear view camera which also was supplied. @@jasonthomashorn4794
It was about two and a half weeks from China for me. I’ve had mine a couple of months. It can take virtually two weeks from order for the tracking to update at all, then it arrives in a couple of days. All good. Love mine for exactly the reason highlighted in this video. I have Ford Sync 2 so Bluetooth audio to Sony built in head unit is fine but but really basic screen.
@@aloticbeast8094 I paid £163.55 for it. They’d just reduced the price to $249 plus I had a 20% discount code from one of the RUclips reviewers). I think that’s correct - $199. I think it works great. It’s connected every time, the screen looks great, it’s responsive and does everything you’d expect. The magnet fitting is rock solid, and I have it sitting in a nice position in front of the tiny Ford Sync 2 screen on my Fiesta. Did I *need* it - I guess not, the phone sitting in the same place did the same job as far as satnav is concerned. Is it pricier than some of the alternatives? Yes. But if you want the CarPlay split screen and you have a 2015ish car without Car Play it’s the best looking device in my opinion. And it’s a lot cheaper than a replacement car 😄

Good video, experience features very detailed. There is a detail, in fact, this display has a brightness of 700nit, which is also the highest brightness carplay portable screen device. There are day and night modes, which are automatically switched according to the time period. By calibrating the time zone and the time period when the night mode is enabled in the machine's Settings, the day and night brightness can be normally displayed. carplay night mode is always used in the video, with only 20% brightness, and the map is in the night mode 😂. In fact, after the normal setting of the machine time, the day is the day map mode and the day brightness (light sensing), and the night is the night black map and low brightness.
