It also seems to charge her force gauge a little quicker for the same reason; the multiple hits translate to more force gain. At least that's what it seems like to me.
Something that I've always found interesting about this weapon is that, when you can do the downwards stab in mid-air, if you wait until Zelda lands and then press X as she's in her landing animation, the shockwave from the stab comes out without any animation to it. It's practically useless from my experience; the only potentially useful times to really use it are after a non-extended C3 or after an extended C4 without light charges. Maybe it's also good after an extended C2 or C3 if you only have one light charge since I think Zelda will fall to the ground faster by not doing the stab mid-air, but if so I don't think it ever crossed my mind to test it until now. I just find it interesting how this is, to my knowledge, the only moveset in the game with a 'landing attack' of sorts, even if said attack is probably Zelda's worst attack; it's either this or her counter with zero light charges.
I gotta disagree with the assertion that she's a duelist. Her charged third combo is all I really need to clear keeps in seconds. The initial left and right dash clears a wide swath, while the light arrow barrage cleans up whatever's left over beautifully.
Weird how it wasn’t mentioned that using the C5 with light meter will charge her special meter depending on how many enemies you hit with it. That’s like super key to this character right? You essentially can clear waves with her C5 and then use the meter to spam down heavy units/generals?
Out of all the mutliweapon characters, I think Zelda's are the most balanced of the bunch. Yeah, people give her baton shit, but I think that it's very useful in many situations. Moving on, Zelda's rapier is a lot of fun, but it's not my favorite of Zelda's weapons. It's also a mid tier weapon imo.
are you sure? m8 the top tiers are way better sheik can literally be immortal by spamming dodge and has the strongest attack in the game and master sword link is op as hell when in full health due to his c3 are you sure zelda is in the same their as those guys?
Zelda in this game is a dualist she does insane damage to single targets and bosses, if you pair her with a good area clearing character she can be very powerful

I love Princess Zelda so much, she is my favorite The Legend Of Zelda character of all time along with Princess Peach being my favorite character from the Super Mario franchise, also I really love the version of Zelda from A Link Between Worlds and Smash Ultimate she so cute and badass, this version of her is badass and cute as well, makes me wanna cosplay her

One of my least favorite weapons. It can be obnoxiously powerful but unless you just spam her light enhanced C5 the rest of her moves are are in some way either hard to use or are always blocked by captains. Sure her light enhanced C4 is good, those arrows hit like a truck, but the zoning and setup is annoying. As far as captains go, she has 2 combos that SHOULD be ideal here (her C2, and C3) but theyre both basically the same move and both have delays in between strikes that will 9 times out of 10 cause the enemy captain to block the best parts of the combos, BROKEN in a bad way. Idk maybe there’s people out there who have her better figured out than me, I can get by but all I ever use are her light enhanced C4 to rack up KOs or to take out boss WPG’s, and her light enhanced C5 for captains. These 2 moves will work but she’s just annoying to use imo. For some reason despite me having much love for Zelda herself I don’t really enjoy using any of her 3 weapons. Her Sword is her “safe yet annoying” weapon and her other 2 weapons just leave her a little too open for counter attacks when surrounded by captains
Her un-enhanced C2 comes out more than fast enough to juggle most strong enemies, and her un-enhanced C3 is pretty good too. I'm of the opinion that most of Zelda's moves are outright better without her light-enhancement ability, except for C4 and (situationally) C5. Even those moves are pretty useful un-enhanced, especially C5 which can be pivoted to catch more enemies in the barrage and has more control than enhanced C4. Light-enhanced C5 is the best boss weak point smasher move as well once you've used one enhanced C4 or just can't control C4 well enough. The only bad thing about Zelda's rapier is that there's no way to dispel your light meter other than just using it up, which can hurt if you need to smash a General's weak point or clear a crowd quick and easy.
Zelda's Rapier is definitely the one I'm most comfortable using among her weapon types.
The light enhanced C5 delivers multiple hits during the detonation and can tear captains and generals apart if they take the full brunt of it.

Having to burn through light orbs by using combos isn't bad at all.. all her light combos are good it doesn't hurt her to do this
