I always love aliens analyzing children playing games or video games. We absolutely have this inbuilt ability to spontaneously create command structures to suit a given problem. And to also just end them when the need no longer exists. We can organize specific to a task extremely quickly and effectively. And that ability to always adapt not just ourselves but out societal structures rapidly as needed is a MASSIVE advantage over others. And a lot of that we owe to our chaotic planet constantly throwing everything down around us. We just get organized with what remains and move on. And video games have 13 year Olds with pretty decent tactical and strategic skills. Not talking fortnite here but stuff like LoL or real time squad games. Or starcraft. Civ games. Managing vast empires politically, economically, and militarily by yourself. We get very good at thinking outside of the box and at assimilating and parsing rapidly a lot of information. I also love that we recognize our potential for chaos and destruction. And have learned the necessity of keeping it in check unless all other things have failed. We know what we can do and have done. We fear that in ourselves. But at the same time everything about us keeps that instead ability primed and ready. A human cam go from laughing and friendly to cold, unfeeling, calculated destruction in the blink of an eye.
We are capable of so much good and equal amounts of horror. A beast and an angel in each of us.
