The Doux is the winner because it is cheaper. Lol i did pick up the pattern mousse after this comparison. The Doux will always be my holy grail product.
I think the Doux side is more elongated. Both sides are very defined-I’m adding these two to my rotation. I’ve been using the Mielle mousse and it’s been great
I love the Mielle as well but I get a lot of shrinkage. Now that my hair is shorter, I'm trying to use more elongating products but that is a great mousse.
I was looking for this exact comparison. Thank you for the in-depth review. I personally think I preferred the Doux side just a "hair" more (haha) but both sides look great.
The Doux side looks better on your next day look based on when you took off the scarf. It is possible in a short time the Pattern side will settle down and not be as scrunched looking.
I like the elongation of the Doo. I love the definition of the Pattern mousse. But for you, Doo is the winner bc there's no build-up & the cost is better. But as far as appearance, the Pattern is what I am drawn to. Question, did u use a leave-in underneath & an oil to seal?
The Doux side had less frizz aand was the winner to me on the first day. There was truly a difference on second day hair. They looked the same to me. For both there wasn't as much shine, curl definition, or length. But I know part of that is how you preserve your curls and the type of sleeper (side, backn etc....). I need my wash and gos to last at least five days now that we are back in the office three days a week. Neither would work for me during the work week without a gel on top. They seem like they would be great to use on vacation to the beach or sumewhere sunny. Ill have to wait until then and then get the travel size to not waste my money if i dont like. I know Pattern has the travel suze . Hopefully nthe Doux does too.
I just saw that the Doux does have a travel size, I was pleasantly surprised! But I understand your POV, gel really does help with keeping that curl cast to ensure frizz free long wash n gos. I do find mousse gives out after about 4-5 days for me as well. I do like The Doux more, I had less buildup but also, I tried refreshing for the first time with the Doux and I was pleasantly surprised, because I dont like to refresh old hair, but it came out perfect! May be an option for you! Took me less than 10 mins!
What did you use for wash and go prior to mouse? Love both and have used pattern for my daughter but now I am definitely going to try the Def product!!! Thank you! Also, why or why not do you choose mouse over curl gel or curl cream?
I probably washed with Briogeo Dont Repair Despair and Deep Conditioned with Curlsmith Curl Quencher. I typically use curl gel as it lasts longer, I tend to only use creams sometimes as it doesn't give me enough humidity protection...I use mousse just to try something different and because its a one product wash n go!
I can get about 4-5 days, more if I really tie my hair down when I’m home. I don’t refresh my hair ever. I put it in a bun. Not a fan of putting product on my dirty hair 😖 it’s always so hot where I am it just doesn’t seem right.
@@SHESOMAJOR thank you! that's impressive for a mousse! i agree, accepting refreshing as part of my usual routine just doesn't sit well with me lol. love your videos!
Mousse Def looks the best. Pattern beauty looks great also, but has a veeeery slight frizz. The price of Mousse Def wins everytime
Totally agree! Very hard battle!

Mielle is my fave ❤
I liked the pattern beauty side. The curls looked bouncier.
Ah thanks for doing this comparison! I think I like the pattern side better but both are pretty sweet!
You're welcome!!!
Both sides look good. I tried the Mousse Def and loved it. I haven't tried the pattern yet. I will give it a try.
I will be using both on rotation. Thank you for this. The review I didn’t know I needed!

Oh and you are so beautiful!
Thank you so much! The Doux hands down is one of the best mouse for curly hair on the market!!
Thank you for living with the hair for at least a day! That’s so important & SO many reviewers miss that detail. Gonna go watch your other reviews.
You are so welcome!

These are two of my favs. I think The Doux is my fav; I love Pattern too. Thx for this review!
You're welcome! Both are great products you can't go wrong with!
I love both. The Doux side looks more defined to me and a bit less frizzy.
The Doux looks best on screen. It is shinier and it is not showing frizz
Absolutely! It is a very special foam, very versatile and an overall great product!
Yes, I been wondering which products too use!!!
I think it definitely was a tie, but I always use the Doux I must try the curl pattern mousse😁

Thanks for the reviews
My pleasure!
I can never get multiple day wash n gos.😢 That's my problem. I love what your hair looks like. ❤
Thank you!! Do you use gel?
Try double mousse. Moknowshair has a tutorial on her channel using the MousseDef. It really works.
I use gel could that be the problem? And it takes forever to dry
beautiful hair...Does either mousse dry your hair out at all/
Not at all!

so good! how many days can you go without a refresh? also, do you use a heat protectant? thank you so much!
meaning how many days without a refresh for either of these mousses lol...i'm too lazy to refresh!

By the way what highlighter are you wearing on your cheeks and nose?
LOVE
Can this be used on 100% brazillain human hair hair as well?
where did you get the pattern beauty mousse in nassau
Beautiful is this comparison done on wet hair? Did you use leave in conditioner prior?
The video details the full routine I used when styling both products on my hair. The only products used were the mousse.
Thanks for the response. I watched the entire video but cannot find info...could you please inform if you started on wet hair?
My hair was indeed freshly washed and wet.@@m.brooks9561
Hands down Mousse Def❤
