@@JustMoparJoe so…6:30 in good weather. Without Nitrous. A Street car driver can use that information to evaluate where they need to be, just in the improbable freak chance they accidentally found themselves lined up next to a light weight ladder bar FULL fledged proven race car.
Thanks brother. I was only an hour from you when I went to Muldrow to do the windows. You’ll get to see the Barracuda someday when he takes it to the car show on Route 66
Well Dang! Maybe your subconscious was thinking about how good it would feel in the A/C drivin home and overrode your foot!😂🤣 good job man! It sucks running in 10,000° heat!🥵🥵
You got more seat time along with some test & tune, racing. And you got to pick up some more points !!!! Overall good looking day. Even if it is hot. Been pushing 100° for a couple weeks here in CO. Cooling off tomorrow so I can get out to drop my new engine in the ol C20. To get it back on the road, and get back to the Demon. That’s a never ending project. 👍👍👍 I like seeing that purple Barracuda run. Great job Joe 🏆👍
Couldn't resist the race could you 😊. All in all you had a good day though right 👍. Didn't think the fuel ⛽ would overheat though. I burned up my Holley fuel ⛽ 30 years ago. Maybe it's bc they don't make them the way they used to. Enjoy the HEAT Joe. It's 69° here in Michigan.
As quick as I get back, I watered the radiator down. The Car only gets to 190, but it will stay there. I met electric water pump and electric fan run for about 3 minutes, then I shut it all down. There’s usually 30 minutes between rounds and it’s good to go again.
Atta boy Joe. Wondering - would it be worth the hassle of setting up a canopy of some sort for some shade between rounds on such a day? - Ed on the Ridge
Nice driving. It still blows my mind that drag strip is so dead. In St. Louis we only have 1 drag strip Gateway International (well 2 if you count Bonne Terre Mo.) but that's an hour away. Anyway Gateway is always packed. It's like you guys have private drag strip. Don't you have any youngins around there?
It’s a dying endeavor for some reasons. They have Saturday night heads up stuff and sometimes do test and tune. It’s pretty dead during the summer months. Most “young ins” now days don’t like the heat for more than a few minutes outside of video games or social media. I love this stuff because my dad introduced it to me. He was born in 60’.
Fun shit man. How did you keep the big fish cool take it for a swim lol i remember one day it was so hot in iowa the track temp was 140. I sweat so bad i about passed out when i got out of the car. It was 96 degrees and humid and the car ran like shit. Couldnt even get close to my dail in. Car ran amazing at 65 degrees that morning. Dont miss that kind of heat. The 65 dodge was a hell of a car.
Motor only, and 30 degrees of timing. Starts easier and helps keep the spinning down. I will have a good test and tune day at a sticky track and play with my nitrous some, before NNN this year.
Even in the heat, the 'Cuda can't be beat!
Thanks buddy! I beat myself at the end
😎👍🏁
Thanks John
👍 👍 👍 👍
Thanks brother
That heat is murder for sure, though you just about got it done anyway! Some good racin' Joe!
Thanks T! There’s stiff competition ahead!
Might need a cool cam in that heat.
Can't wait to see how it does in cooler weather.
You and me both! Thanks Mike! I e got some timing pulled to help with track conditions
Nice passes in the heat!
Thanks brother
That's one good running Mopar 👍
Thanks 👍
Lunch Break!!

Great job, Joe. 🦶🏾🚦🏁

Good runs!
Thanks Brother Brad!
Nice racing action Joe. 🏁
Nice wins!
I could tell that heat was making it tough for sure.
I would call it a successful day.
Thanks for sharing. 👍
Thanks 👍 Ed! I accomplished my goals and went some rounds. Didn’t buy back and made more money than I spent that day!
@@JustMoparJoe That's great Joe.
I knew you could doit.👍💯
What a weapon the cudda is running consistently in those high 6s you've got things going good
Thanks Grand
That black S-10 looks familiar.
Oh yes
Hell yes !
Love this channel !
Appreciate it! Please share some of your favorite videos
Cool thing for a hot day!👍
Yes it was! Thanks Mitch!
Man! I feel you with the heat!😅 I think maybe it was the umbrella drinks and the lazy river that did you in! 😂
😂😂😂 made the trip worth it!
The cuda is consistent, no doubt!! Nice job in the heat!!!
Thanks brother! It was an uphill battle with the track temps and the oils on the lane
Enjoy that! Everyone have a great evening!
You too!
Always great to watch you race Joe, and your car is so well dialed in.
Thanks Brother!
Rough break Joe. You had it going good. For the heat your car ran great. Great show.
Thanks Ron! All I had to do was tap the brake lol
Well Dang! Maybe your subconscious was thinking about how good it would feel in the A/C drivin home and overrode your foot!😂🤣 good job man! It sucks running in 10,000° heat!🥵🥵
Haha! I had just dialed it down .07. There was no way it’d breakout..🫢

It may have been hot but making it to the final on a double points day sounds like a good day to me.
Absolutely! I definitely made my goals!
Car was running pretty good in the heat. Mopar to the front!!!
Thanks Jeff!
I'm trying to get caught up as always and I love it when you were schooling Dead Dodge Garage. Great day today and enjoy your day the best you can JMJ

Wow man! I’d love some cool temps!
I'm from central Texas , we quit racing between June and September . The heat can be unbearable. Too many nice months to race in Texas.
I will definitely wait for a cooler day next time. The points hounds don’t stop! I’ll have to drop out. No way to catch up for missing two races
You and the car did great in that heat, Joe. Wow, bet you felt like wilted lettuce after all that! Nothing like a nice cool shower afterward!!!
You got that right! It was a good day, but I was glad to go home 😂
What is your cooldown procedure between rounds and does your transmission get very hot also

Burn a hole in the wind lol thats gota be a thrilling ride.
Haha! Thank you!
Looking good Joe. When you guys had the 400 on the dyno , what size carbs did you run with the tunnel ram. I’d like to build something similar.
Dual 600’s edelbrock 🫡
Thank you
Anytime your reaction time starts with point 0 anything you have a chance
What is your leave RPM it looks like or sounds like about 1400 rpm?
I usually shoot for 1,700. It doesn’t spin as much and transfer well.
Atta boy Joe. Wondering - would it be worth the hassle of setting up a canopy of some sort

We absolutely had the canopy up, for between rounds. Maybe have to start parking the car under it!

Some money is better than no money! lol What RPM are ya shifting at?
Shift at 6,000. I cross the line with the light on about 10 feet before the stripe
Is that 104.35 the temperature ? It was hot !

Haha! That was Miles per hour
I hope you bought a lottery ticket after that 0.000 win.
