To be quite honest, I would say they are usually not worth the effort. Mainly because of the quality of the wood underneath the veneer. Only my opinion.
No, in my opinion that furniture is disposable and it is not worth investing time in it, in fact I do not consider it furniture, for me they are crude imitations but everyone uses their time as they want.
I really liked the end result!! This was a challenge for this particular type of furniture. Maybe the critics in the comments didn't understand that. I think your project turned out beautifully!! Normally, I wouldn't want a chipboard piece of furniture to be restored. But, you proved that it can be done, and be done WELL. Good job!!! I will be looking forward to your next project. I hope you WON the challenge, too!!!
Thank you for understanding this renovation issue with your good feelings, for watching our videos, and for giving us energy to be better with your beautiful comments. Thank you very much, have a nice time...
The result was amazing, you did the most impossible task of restoration, I didn't think, restore chipboard with a mill veneer, it's your art, but your ability is admirable, the video and your work was great.❤
My friend, you are in a special renovation, your video is very high quality and enjoyable, the final product is really beautiful, Thank you for your great video👍👍👍
Thank you, my German friend, I am glad that you watched the restoration video, your comment encourages us and is a light to continue on the way, your good feeling makes the videos more attractive and success in our work...
Thank you my friend, in the video I showed the effects of rubbing the chair against the table due to the limited space, I removed it from the previous place and turned it into a small dresser with two drawers, with the ability to move...
As you saw in the video, I removed the drawers due to the collision of the chair with the table, and turned it into a chest of two drawers and it is placed next to the table. Thank you for watching us...
My friend, the nails are from the F series, they are very thin, they do not damage the wood, the dovetail joint is perfect, I removed the drawers in this project, I made a small chest of 2 drawers in the same style as the table....
I had to turn the sound off whenever you started scraping. It was like nails on a chalkboard and my teeth are still clenched. ~shudder~ Great job on the desk though.
Yes, you are right, sorry, the sound was annoying, I reduced the volume a lot in the video editing, it only sounds like this on this material, thank you, I know...
Yikes! I think you showed what NOT to do when refurbishing an old piece of furniture. You ruined the chip board with the hot steam. If you had used a heat gun, you might have been able to at least save the chip board. Also, using a stripper rather than scraping it might have been safer for the finish, rather than scraping and gouging it. Oh well, I think it took guts to show this! You did such a great job with the old trunk, chair, and spinning wheel restorations. Modern furniture doesn't hold up quite as well. 😒
Thank you, my friend, the glue that was used for connections could only be loosened with steam, I tried it with a heat gun, it had no effect, if you watch the video carefully, the effects of wood burning are evident, I know that steam damages the chipboard. can... Striper... I challenged myself to restore something that is not worth it... Thank you very much for guiding us in this field with your comments, I hope to make you feel good in the next videos....
I respect your opinion, read the description, then thank you for leaving a fair comment, my friend, this was a challenging video, I would like to know, how did you cover this table?
Can it be restored? I assume so. Otherwise, this is going to be terrible video. In the end, you decide that it can't be and just toss it in a dumpster.
The freaking sound coming off of your scraping. I bought sucked my teeth on edge. It was terrible. That's the only bad thing I can save. Out this video right now, but try to find some way to deaden. That sound it's like nails on the chalkboard
There was no sound, it was the death knell, this sound is created only to scratch the paint, from the chipboard, forgive me, I have a suggestion for you, those who hurt you, share this video with them, so that your heart will be calm. ... Thank you for making me laugh.....Have a good time...
Iam sorry NO…you ruined an old beautiful office/teacher school desk, to make what? A night table and a ? Coffee table, little kitchen table?…and used metal brackets, and the most fake plié wood (Chinese made) garbage. Big NO. Very disgusting. I watch a lot of these videos…it relaxes me, but this one actually upset me.
Hey guys, this is a challenge video, are pieces made from chipboard or veneered MDF worth refurbishing? Thank you, comment on this
To be quite honest, I would say they are usually not worth the effort. Mainly because of the quality of the wood underneath the veneer. Only my opinion.
No, in my opinion that furniture is disposable and it is not worth investing time in it, in fact I do not consider it furniture, for me they are crude imitations but everyone uses their time as they want.
No, IMO, it is a waste of time. Unless it is a challenge.
@Charlielizard Your opinion is respected for us, you are kind, thank you for the comment...

Trabalho magnífico
Thank you my Brazilian friend...
Great job. But I missed the idea behind the smaller cabinet. Wasn’t supposed to go back into the desk construction?
Thank you my friend, in the video I showed the effects of rubbing the chair against the table due to the limited space, I removed it from the previous place and turned it into a small dresser with two drawers, with the ability to move...
@@CreativeIdeasMaker oh I understand, thanks for replying

That is a wonderful sound. 😂👍
I drag the scraper on the coated chipboard, it makes a puppy sound, but not on the wood...😂
Love your steel toed flip flops.🤭
Sure :)

All those nails really tear up the wood. Dovetailing for the win.

kick ass!
Thank you dear friend. I'm glad you enjoyed watching the video
Was okay, the inside needs love too. Makes the endresult look cheap
Thank you, my friend, for sure, you are right...
Did you put wax on the drawer slide or some other lubrication?
I had to turn the sound off whenever you started scraping. It was like nails on a chalkboard and my teeth are still clenched. ~shudder~ Great job on the desk though.
Yes, you are right, sorry, the sound was annoying, I reduced the volume a lot in the video editing, it only sounds like this on this material, thank you, I know...
That high-pitched squeal is unbearable. I don't know how you can stand it. 😮
It's really annoying, doesn't happen on wood, but on this material it sounds like a puppy, with ear protection, I put up with it...

If yer gonna do something... do it right. Thanks for the reminder. ))) New desk inspired by wreck.
Thank you for leaving a comment...
I hope you used protection for your ears?
His voice was so ear-splitting, it reminded me of my puppy...
It wasn't easy. But the result is disgusting((

My friend, this was a challenging video, I wanted to see how the parts made of veneered chipboard can be restored...
