His perfect play would be shut down, by a team that plays zone defense well after 2 possessions. The real way to beat a zone is to swing the ball around the perimeter/skip pass from one side to the other, get paint touches (either through passes into the paint or penetration and kickouts from the guards) and continue to make the defense chase until you find the open man.
no this works 90 percent of the time. especially if your 4 can shoot and your 1 is a good passer. there’s little the zone D can do. they’re only reacting. the easiest or cheesiest way to break down a 2-3 zone is actually using the high post, which he calls the 4
Nope. The zone wants the ball on the perimeter. They want outside shots. They want no inside buckets. To bet a zone is to attack the hole. This is a horrible take man lol
Could have been explained better.
But basically run a 3-2 offense to beat this zone.
If you get double teamed pass it to the open man for a layup or a open shot.
