  • This week on #BlockchainCentral:
    #Amazon, one of the world’s largest and most innovative retailers, has been steadily providing enterprise blockchain solutions to companies looking to deploy their own enterprise-grade blockchains. What is the Amazon Managed Blockchain? Will they deploy a specialized Amazon Blockchain? Or will Amazon continue to create the framework for other companies to deploy their own blockchains using Hyperledger and Ethereum?
    Over the years, Amazon has proven itself as one of the kings of network infrastructure with its AWS cloud-computing solution, and nestled within their vast capabilities is the Amazon Managed Blockchain, a fully managed service that allows for the creation of scalable
    and rapid deployments. Now that Amazon has created the #AmazonManagedBlockchain, it’s time to see whether or not we will see an Amazon Blockchain and cryptocurrency released in the future.
    Join us in part one of our series on the tech giants Google, IBM, Amazon and Microsoft entering the blockchain space.

    What if the centralized AWS servers are compromised? will they affect the decentralized ledgers stored in those blockchains that are built on AWS infrastructure?

    • @adharsh2208
      @adharsh2208 2 года назад +1

      Probably not as I would assume the data is stored in blockchain will still be available. But, if the aws servers are hacked, for instance, and some data is actually manipulated - the same data can then be verified with the data stored in blockchain(which is generally more secure as it’s stored in multiple P2P nodes) and thus manipulation attempt can be prevented.
      I mean no system is perfect but blockchain arguably makes it relatively more secure.

      @@adharsh2208 well it depends whether the other nodes are safe, and are exempt from the hack. So it's best to have our ledger stored in multiple cloud platforms.

    • @adharsh2208
      @adharsh2208 2 года назад

      @Gnaneshwaar The P2P nodes are distinct and are not stored in a single cloud - if it's stored in a single cloud environment, I don't even think it can be called a blockchain.
      Hacking all of the P2P nodes is a challenge and especially is a greater challenge than centralized systems.

      I would assume since each full node has a copy of the blockchain, they would be able to compare theirs to anyone who may be affected. I’m not familiar with amazons blockchain infrastructure/services so take that w a grain of salt.

    There's already streamers in twitch accepting crypto - the BAT.

      @@blockchaincentral7009 I feel if corporations start to implement there form of crypto it will fail.
      Goverments all over the world has a plan to keep there currency at face value.
      So if crypto is going to succeed it needs to be hidden like a reward system first. And the BAT has the best potential in doing that. I feel it's good but they need to develop more of an infustructure to utilize it. All while not causing massive attention to it, so when it does blow up or finaly known about It's too big to fail.
      Because if you look at the BAT it's Google, based off chrome. Google can buy it and implement it though out it's entire platform.
      So if we just look for ways the Infustructure would be applied. Opposed to looking at company itself like Amazon - Its new blockchain tech that company's fear. Take a look at mega corps buying of some of these small blockchain tech company's. It's only a matter of time when one of them don't sell and goes public with an efficient simplistic way to utilize crypto and it's Infustructure. Then big tech corps will try to counter - to keep public knowledge at bay of what's really going on.
      But that's my vision... But I'm nobody so oh well.
