I am using Uno and getting the live graphics into my ATEM without using OBS or an Ultrastudio. One caveat, the template I am using is rectangular so it's easy to set up a mask. I am using an older 2013 MacBook with HDMI out and connecting that to my ATEM Pro Extreme via HDMI. On the 2013 MacBook I use a Google Chrome web-browser (with all the toolbars and url bar turned off/hidden) to display the output URL full screen. Then on the ATEM I am using an Upstream Key as a DVE with a mask and can position the scoreboard anywhere I want. It works great! This method would not work if the scoreboard was not square or rectangular. Then you would need a real key.
Great channel Alex, I use streamyard, I have a ATEM Mini Pro and a Stream Deck which can be used in streamyard. I'm willing to book some time with you. I need the Uno graphics over my live stream . I cannot switch from streamyard as we are so used to the system. Maybe we can find a solution. Let me know how and where we can schedule a time.
Dude, you get a subscribe just for the Uno tip! I have been looking for something like this for years!! Found some ok solutions but nothing like Uno!! Thx.
Hi Alex !!! Awesome video !!!!! I have a question. Its would work same if i use 2 Ultrastudio monitor 3G for send key and fill ? for me is less expensive than the Ultrastudio HD mini. Thanks !!!
Hey Alex, great video! I have the ATEM Mini Pro, is it possible that we could add a computer as an HDMI input (as camera 4 for example) and pull up the overlay URL that way and just make cam 4 an overlay to the other inputs? Hope that make sense, I havent tried it yet, but as I was watching the video, I thought about if that would achieve the same result. Thanks for all your videos!
All the videos are very useful. Can you break down an esports tournament example Pubgm world league how they do the live graphics and points table and all.
Thanks G P, really appreciate that! Good idea :) I actually have a few more “Behind the scenes” type videos in the plan for coming months, so this type of thing would fit in nicely!
hola gracias por el aporte ...pero tengo un problema cuando pego la url en mi obs me aparece la pagina completa no puedo ver solo los titulos , me aparece toda la web completa
Alex, thanks for this. I have an Ultra Studio 4K min connected to a MacBook Pro and are just working my way through your tutorial but have hit a snag with obs. I’m new to obs and on the advanced tab > Video> Colour Format there isn’t an RGB drop down option? Is there something else I need to do to change this?
What about this approach: I use Uno in OBS,assign the output to a Decklink SDI output that goes into an ATEM. SDI is fill; key=black. Seems to work, but I have not tested it fully yet.
Unfortunately not really. There is no way to generate a proper key and fill signal for HDMI from OBS. I have tried doing as you've suggest above, but have found that the two HDMI outputs just aren't quite in time, so the transparency and animation is slightly off. It's worth trying, but I'd expect you get mixed results. Definitely not a recommended route for professional broadcasts / setups. Hope this helps
Love your vidoes, huge help. I keep getting black bar on left side of image when running SDI A & B out of Hyperdeck to 3G SDI to HDMi converters into ATEM Mini Extreme ISO. Happening to both Hyperdecks, running 60 FPS Prores as I do slo mo replay and also run transparent graphics. Always works, but they are always slightly offset and it's driving me insane. Any Help is appreciated!
Great tutorial, i have just a week ago register to Uno, few questions: If the Uno website is down, my all graphics will be down? Is this true that i need to use 2 SDI inputs for this? i have atem mini extreme sdi and after the graphics i have only 6 inputs left?
I'm guessing the process is the same for the DeckLink too. But question, do the DeckLinks (using external keying) require the same processing power on the PC as the external UltraStudio? I'm wanting to do this key/fill thing myself for my streaming overlays (since it can add so much more freedom as to what my overlays will have), but Thunderbolt 3 is a bit finicky as I'll be using it with a Ryzen system, not an Intel system (and the only Ryzen board I've seen that has TB3 support and ITX is an X570 board without BIOS flashback, making use of the 5700G very finicky, as I'd need to get the BIOS flashed before I receive it). Just not sure if you know about this. If the resource usage on the PC is identical between the two, I'll just grab a DeckLink and forego Thunderbolt 3. Just not sure what the cheapest DeckLink is that'll be able to do this in 1080p60 (I'm assuming with external processing).
I really appreciate the video. Major info, I’m wondering what would be a way to incorporate instant replay with a Atem mini extreme pro iso setup? Could I use something like a Roland P-20hd?
Wonderful, super effective since I'm going to start streaming live field hockey this season. Could you please show us whether it is possibile to manage replay and rallenties with OBS and the ATEM Mini? It would just be the cherry on top.

@@AlexPettitt Wow, instant answer and I'll look forward to that one. Wonderful job here on this channel, man! Thank you so much! Congrats from Italy, the team I might be streaming for is HC Argentia from Milan, in case of curiosity.
Why can't I simply plug a laptop in a source (even the one driving the Atem control panel) and key it out in the Atem? Presumably I can just have the URL in full screen, and use HDMI out to pipe to the Atem. Ok I have to key out the background, but the solution with OBS, hyper decks and SDI converters sounds over the top. Shame that Blackmagic doesn't allow video clips in the media pool, but I suppose they don't want the 'mini' to do too much their more pricey and sophisticate gear does.
Hi Alex, thanks a million for all your insightful wisdom. I've been using Uon overlays, and as you said, they are fantastic....but I do have a problem. I'm using it with my stream deck to control a game that has goals and points ( you'll find it as an Irish game). I find I can't move the goals forward when using the stream deck but work fine when operated from the laptop. I have set it to be incremental by 1 but the panel on the screen does not display to goals. I have sent feedback to Uno but I wondered did you have any advice. Many thanks again. James - in Ireland
Hi James, strange not heard of this issue before and I did a demo of exactly this in my most recent video, with it working fine :) Maybe double check you are using the most recent Stream Deck plugin for Uno, as I know it was updated recently :) Hope this helps!
@@AlexPettitt Thanks Alex, very much for your reply and it's very much appreciated. I've watched, learnt and enjoyed that video but could you check that it works on a goal and point scenario. The Irish game called GAA which is available in UNO uses goals and points and while it works fine on points, the goals are the problem as they don't appear to be changing...any thoughts? Again this is only an issue when the Stream Deck is attached, it works fine when controlled by the laptop.
what if you just put a green layer behind the overlay, then output to hdmi connected via the ATEM and just key out just like when using H2R, you may not need an extra piece of equipment...
Correct Tedz, this works. Only things you need to consider is 1) Your graphic can't have any green in it, or It will be keyed out too. 2) It can't have transparency either. This is where Key and Fill really helps for more complex / professional grade graphics. Hope this helps :) Alex

Absolutely it is. You can bring the graphics web output into OBS and then add a green layer behind in OBS and output that via HDMI into an ATEM. It does mean none of your graphics can use green or have transparency through :)
