Awesome video. I felt for you when you hit your head.
How did you get the slave cylinder out with the linkage in the way? Did you end up detaching the hydraulic line?
Asking for a friend... my 987.1 is definitely not half-disassembled in my garage....
How many miles this car when the clutch died?
Around 90k
Nice video.
When do you have to scheme the flywheel? Only if its got scratch marks on?
Scheme? Typically you would have a flywheel turned if it is warped or has hot spots. Obviously it is a necessity when replacing your clutch as well
Hello, please. I am from Iraq, Baghdad. My car is a Porsche Cayman, 2015 model, w 2.7L. I want to know how to properly connect a camshaft with a crank. Please answer
With chains.
I am going to have to do this upgrade to my 997 now a 4.2 otherwise will eat up the stock clutch..
Man I bet that 4.2 rips
have one question that I heard that light weight flywheel damage engine bcz dual stock flywheel absorb engine vibration and light weight don't
Porsche Fanatic In all the research we did that didn't seem to be an issue. Discussed with multiple shops and manufacturers to be sure we were getting the right stuff. Only thing we were told is make sure you get the sprung clutch disk unless it is a track only car. So far we've been really happy with it!
Many Transmissions are eventually destroyed by a single mass flywheel, there's a reason Porsche used a Dual mass...unless you only track the car...a daily driven car will destroy tyranny synchros & other components eventually due to generally lower RPMs causing more vibration and slowly breaking things.if you have a warranty, chances are you won't be covered if they find you switched to a SMF....the benefit are amazing but if you want long term reliability...stay away from SMF...stick to DMF....its def an issue
N/A soundsSoGood, I've had a LWF on my 987 for 80k miles now...np
Boost Brothers Garage, unsprung disc for me, again np.
where could i find a clutch like this to put in my 07 porsche boxster
Bloopers.... Classic!
this a 2006 cayman s?
It is
Make sure transmission is in neutral!
That disco music is gonna give me an aneurism bruh!!
DarkstarDarth hahaha. There is only so much copyright free music out there, it's tough to find decent stuff. Any suggestions for what style to use in future videos?
I was just thinking that I really liked the music. Then I scrolled down to see that not everyone has the same taste in music. lol.
I like it, too.
At least its better then all that freaking generic electric guitarr "rock" that is on all other videos
