I would have to think glass would be a nightmare to find in particular the wrap around glass on the 59 superior coach Cadillac commercial chassis.Great looking class of cars, thank the owners for the love and care of wheeled history.
I was going to say bizarre, repulsive and yet fascinating. I can't stop looking at them but they trigger a negative response. I am so glad people are preserving these vehicles.
I remember seeing these type AMBULANCE as a kid. Didn't really have van or truck versions near where we lived. There's a lot in Cincinnati, Ohio that sells used funeral cars and Ambulances. Usually with very low miles for their age.
In the Funeral industry they are called "coaches" not "hearses". I have never heard a Funeral Director call it a "hearse".Just like they call the "limousine" the "family car".
I enjoy your videos, Pam. You do a very nice job providing interesting commentary. Older professional cars are fascinating -- the makers of these special bodies are pretty much the last custom coachbuilders operating in the U.S.
This was a fun show of rarely seen cars!!! Glad you enjoyed it, Troy. There are more videos from this event on my channel. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Kinda funny, I'm more of an off road, utilitarian kinda guy but these hearses are something I would absolutely drive simply for the fact of how many people have been taxied to their final resting places
You know, Bob, a hearse or even an ambulance would freak out a lot of your friends at the trails if you use one for a tow vehicle for your off roaders!!!!!! Thanks for watching and commenting!! Please check out my other videos.
hah, gotta get one of these from about '77 with velour curtains and lavender paint which i'll have my girlfriends pull up in it at the next family party where i fake my death at the hands of my uncle gary from the society club so they'll pick me up and then f*ck me silly. nice Hyundai accent, btw.

The '63 blue Caddy at 5:30 looks exactly like the Caddy that transferred the body of President Jack Kennedy from Air Force One, to the White House on November 22, 1963, after the events in Dallas, Tx. that day.
Personally I wouldn't want to ride in an ambulance owned by a funeral home. The owner would have no incentive to get you to the hospital quickly. Just the opposite, in fact. Why not carry the customer twice...
I'm pretty sure I spotted the rarest of the professional cars in the background, a Flower Car. You did a real disservice to your viewers by not including in your presentation.
Some of the early 1950s Caddy ambulance engines found their way into moonshiner's cars: while most V-8s at the time were around 90-120HP, the Caddy made around 250HP. They'd shove them into a ratty old Ford or Merc and could outrun the feds all day and all night long...
Thank you for saving such beautiful machines
Cadillac in my opinion looked great in the ambulance conversation which were popular when I was growing up in the 70's. Thank you for sharing!
You are more than welcome, Doug. Cadillac lines gain more authority with the professional conversion.

1959 Cadillac Superior was the high point for beauty. Absolutely stunning vehicle
The '59 Cadillac made a styling statement in any reiterations.
These vehicles are works of art. Absolutely gorgeous

What is the name of the lot? I'm near Cincinnati. I'd love to stop by.
Just think people actually passed away while riding in the ambulance.
The Superior Cadillac is a 1959 model. Very dramatic and beautiful.

Very nice car ... ✌
The ambulance that transported John Kennedy from Air Force 1 to the Capital was a U.S. Navy Pontiac ambulance.
Which 1 did Elvis Parsley ride in?.....
