When putting seat covers on or reupholstering old seats put the seat cover in a pillowcase and then put it in the dryer for a few minutes to heat it up. The pillowcase will protect the new material from getting damaged from the dryer. Take it out of the dryer when it’s still really warm and it will easily stretch over whatever you’re trying to cover or reupholster
Just leave the plastic in there, then you can spill coffee no problemo, no sense wasting bags. You could use dry cleaning bags which are even thinner and don't make noise.
those are some nice seat covers. slick idea with the trash bags. we always bought oversized cheap T-shirts and put on the backs of the seat. take them off and reuse them after washing. or just simply replace them with more cheap t-shirts. Your seat covers look a lot nicer. also couldn't you just put a slit in the bag and pull down on the sides and bring it all completely down cut it with pair scissors and take it right out? The headrest I would not think would stop the seat covers from sliding just more to shoulders and top to seats. That's a question more than a statement. Great job on dressing up the interior of the car too
seriously? You guys must visit India and check how aftermarket seat covers are done. We have wide variety of options and they custom fit these covers to the car.
My brain: Hmmm. Trash bags. Nice. Seat cover accomplished.

I use this technique in the bedroom frequently.
