    In this lesson, we will practice writing equations of lines using the slope intercept form and the point slope form.
    The exact method we use will depend on what is given in the problem statement. We may have to first find the slope using the slope formula then use that in the equation of the line, for example.

    thanks for this video I really appreciate it , I'm using these to go back to college.
    BUT I did plug into my graphing calculator y=1x+1 and x-y=1 and they are different lines.
    The latter intercepts the Y-axis at -1. The former at +1.

      @Arcadia61 4 года назад +2

      y=x+1 is NOT equal to x-y=1. That is why you got different intercepts. y=x+1 is the same as x-y=-1 which is why you had an intercept of -1.

    Please, help to solve this equation, I hope it called this way. -6=-2y+4=12. I found it on HESI A2 Math practice test/Nurse Hub. Thank you!

      I am curious, -6 is not equal to 12. Probably there's a mistake

    • @irinasonkina5168
      @irinasonkina5168 6 лет назад

      probably it would, if -6 • -2 =12. I was curious if there is a mistake with the whole equation.

    The first time you forgot to move 5 down in equation where you change your fraction by multiplying by 5
