You two are the best. My wife and I watch you guys every night since we found you on you tube. I'm Vietnam vet. I'm 71 my wife is 63 we love you two. Sure glad we found ya channel. Great videos.
My great grandfather Miles Hovey , was on the exploration of Black Canyon back in the early 1900’s. It has always been a proud part of our family history. The area is so beautiful and wild. It’s nice to see they have saved it.
Haven't been in USA before nore do i think will ever step in BLACK CANYON of the GUNNSON & OUREY but, @least, 1thing i am positive about n with passion i say it, THANK U Changing Lanes! for i ejoyed a passive adventure here in my comfort! Stay Blessed
Great video and visit of Colorado. Thanks for taking us along. Daughter and son-in-law live in Colorado Springs so we are there couple times a years. Pikes Peak so far is my favorite. Gunnison is on our list along with Estes Park.
Chad and Tara you knocked this one out of the park!! Great video with so much information, amazing views, how to info, and the music was great too!! Thanks for sharing this awesome experience with your viewers.
My wife and I visited Ouray last September and visited the Box Canyon as well. I wish we had known about the Black Canyon of the Gunnison! We will have to go back!
Glad you got to ride the Million Dollar Highway. There are so many wonderful roads in that part of the state. If construction on 50 ever ends, take Lucille to the Blue Mesa Dam and then ride highway 92 up the north side of the canyon to Crawford. One of the best roads in a state with dozens of great roads.
Since you asked another great motorcycle ride from Ridgeway take 145 w to Naturita then 141 n towards Gateway. You can then go to Grand Junction. If you liked Million Dollar Highway you will really enjoy this road.
A couple of my favorites in CO are the Cumbres & Toltec Railway, a narrow-gauge steam train starting in either Antonito, CO or Chama, NM, that takes you through some beautiful country and feeds you at the halfway point. Another is Glenwood Springs, CO. You don't often hear of a scenic interstate highway drive, but the one between Denver and Glenwood Springs is one to experience. We have had several great travel experiences in Colorado and know we have more that we want to see and do there.
We Love that part of Colorado. We was in Montrose while you was there. Been to Black Canyon and Ouray several times. You need to read up on the Gunnison Tunnel. It is what feeds the irrigation system in Montrose.
I can't thank you enough for the wonderful spectacular trail trip through Box Canyon & the falls. We are actually In Ouray now, with friends & family riding the trails in our Rzr's. Sadly, on our 2nd day I slipped on loose gravel looking out from Imogene, ended up getting x-ray & now I'm a walking boot. Oblique fracture left ankle. 😥😥. We are from Tennessee & heading home tomorrow. We an on returning, hopefully next year! Safe travels to you guys!!!
Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain NP right after they open it is amazing. They try to have it open by Memorial Day. The massive walls of snow are really neat to see where they plow open the road.
Been going to Colorado since childhood...now 69 years young...let's see....Rocky Mt. National Park and all that it entails...Granby, CO....west side of Rocky Mtn. NP....'beautiful lake, small mountion town..4th of July rally neat in Granby. Estes Park, CO....east gateway into Rocky Mt. NP. Lots to do in Estes Park. Lake City, CO....rent a Jeep and go overland to Silverton, CO....day trip round trip....beautiful scenery and lots of old mine operations. Lake City is like Colorado in a time stand still mode...not ruined by a ski resort, etc.....what Colorado was like in the 1960s. The western slope is old Colorado...not ruined like the front range (Denver, Colorado Springs, etc.). Just explore the western half of the state from the Four Corners area north. You will find all that Colorado used to be known for. Sure enjoy your content when you get away from the maintenance and DIY content...but then you have all types of subs so fully understand. Thanks for sharing your journey!
What difference could it possibly make to people when a video comes out? If it’s 3 months earlier or 3 weeks earlier or 3 days earlier……how does that affect their life? I appreciate the effort that goes into filming, editing and posting your videos. It certainly makes what would be a 2 hour hike, turn into a 4 hour hike in order to get all the footage you need. Then the editing time and if the wifi isn’t good, traveling somewhere else to upload it. We appreciate the fact that you post videos, period! So, thank you for all the work it takes just to entertain us!!
Beautiful country. Makes for great hiking and great footage. Chad you were fortunate to get some shots of the Box Cañon Dancing Blonde which only appears at the exact time y’all were there. Good timing, bro! 😜 It’s no coincidence that the next shot showed the “Force of Nature” sign. I’d say that’s appropriate. Thanks for the fun hikes. Looking forward to the red rocks. FWFS ⚓️ Troy
Most memorable? Taking a Jeep tour out of Ouray to Imogene Pass. 11,114'. Built for mules to get supplies to the mines. I tried to do it on my dual sport bike and chickened out (flatlander) The Jeep tour was awesome. In Ridgway, after taking hwy 62 out of town, notice on the left is a four rail split log fence that runs for seven miles!!! It's the "Double RL Ranch", and the RL is Ralph Lauren. There's cattle and must be millions of acres of land. Finally, near the enterence of the Black Canyon NP is a road to the right in Cimmeron. It leads to Owl Creek Pass. It's where a lot of True Grit" was filmed. Follow that (mostly gravel) road for 42 miles and it comes out just north of Ridway! It was always one of my motorcycle must do's (dirt bike)
We spent the week of the 4th of July 4 years ago in that area. The 4th in Ouray was awesome with fireworks reflecting off the mountains. We also went up to Imogene Pass on a Jeep tour on July 5th. Pretty cool to have a snowball fight with grandkids on the 5th of July at the top. At Black Canyon National Park did you go down to Crystal Dam on the Gunnison River? There is also two campgrounds down by the river for tent camping. Take a day trip and go to Marble, CO and then take the jeep tour to the Crystal River Mill. It's a must go destination. Look it up on Google. Then when you get back into Marble go to Slow Groovin BBQ. Food was awesome, amotsphere and service were outstanding. It was neat to see all the irrigation canals in the Montrose area. That area is called a High Plateau Desert and the Gunnison River supplies all the water for the irrigation to make the area so green. Your videos are outstanding and I believe the music you choose fits so well with the video. I know you two have to put serious time into them to have such a great result. Great things take time and work. Kudos to the two of you.
What beautiful sights! Thanks for sharing. I have to use a walker so even if we get out that way in our RV I wouldn’t be able to see all this. So I truly enjoyed watching this wonderful video.
Next time you are near the Sand Dunes look for Zapata Falls on the entrance road. Neat falls inside a canyon. Bring waders if you have them, you have to walk down the stream, or rock hop.
In 1966 or so, my family and 2 others backpacked down to the bottom of the canyon from Tomichi point - the first overlook you stopped. We were completely unprepared and stupid. The park service doesn't allow starts from that point anymore. They had to rescue too many people that used that location. It was a memorable experience though.
Ouray is my favorite place to go in Colorado as a Basecamp. You need to go back later in season, say mid July to end of September, when passes are open and see the other half of the area from the passes in a Jeep. Mind blowing scenery. Spend some time in telluride, eat at Brown Dog Pizza, take the Gondola to the top for spectacular views. Take a Jeep tour of Black Bear Pass. Once past the stair steps, the view of Telluride is amazing. Imogene Pass, Yankee Boy Basin, Last Dollar Hwy, Animas Forks with Engineer Pass are all must do off road adventures next time.
Wow, awesome views, I thought Dead Horse Point State Park campground was awesome, this is a run for the money in my books, that's for sharing these great places in America, and I don't care when you do...
We were there just before you guys were…we were there in early May and we stayed at the Elks Lodge in Montrosse. We went to many of the places you went, including Black Canyon of the Gunnison, it was gorgeous. When we went over the Million Dollar Highway, we did take our fifth wheel and we actually hit a moderate snow storm at the peak.
The NP campground is tiny. A couple years ago we stopped to fill water jugs and had to help a Subaru towing a pop-up maneuver over a rock that it got stuck on trying to exit. We boondocked just down the hill from the entrance to the park and had bears behind the RV. Grand Lake area is also awesome with RMNP.
Hello. I watch and enjoy your videos. Being full time for years we are well seasoned. We've decided to slow down and spend more time in each area. When we know we will be in the same state for weeks we are buying state. Park passes. It is so much better especially when we venture out on the motorcycle. Also Chad I noticed you use a save-a-drop water gage. This makes filling my holding tanks very easy. Thanks. Travel safe. Robert Woods.
Beautiful video guys. The canyons behind you on that one clip where you tilted the camera over the top of you guys. WHOAA That was spectacular. I would have been like Tara, there is just something about being high up and on the edge that just creeps me out. And don't worry about those that express their dismay about the time lapses on your video's cause their always worth the wait. Safe travels guys. Have fun. .
Great travel video Chad and Tara! Great views of the parks and trails you went on. There sure was a lot to see. I can see why you would want to go back. Weird how it was cold in May. How’s is Daisy? Give give Daisy a hello for me. Hope you both have a great week and see you soon. I enjoyed the video and thank you so much for the video and the scenery. Very well done. See you both soon!
We just spend a week in the Breck area exploring. Absolute gorgeous state. Wife and I decided when we full time like you guys, we’re gonna spend at least half a year in Colorado! Great video as always!
Oh wow!! I can't wait to get to Colorado one day...hope Daisy will be okay....you guys are brave to walk on the edge of cliffs😎 Loved this episode ❤ Safe travels 💚💜🏞🌻
Totally understand the delay to post a travel / destination video. We do have a request - please say when you were there. Something as simple as early May, mid May, or late May is helpful for us trying to plan future trips based on weather and crowd sizes. THX. We have ridden the black canyon a few times, we love it, and the grand Mesa in the fall is amazing they are all great rides. Thanks for the great video.
Rifle falls state park is a must next time you’re in Colorado. Rifle Gap will have a spot with full hook ups that will fit your rig. Just a couple miles from rifle falls. Happy trails.
It is a beautiful park. The East Portal drive down to the River is amazing also (closed now, I think, for some work). We enjoyed camping there and exploring.
For me, I'm not sure there is a better part of Colorado to explore, Gunnison, Lake City, Ouray, Silverton, taking the jeep trails between those places is pretty darn cool. I got a kick out of your early comment about people being twisted up about the time lag of your videos, we're tagging along for the ride and folks getting twisted up, I'm just happy to live vicariously through your travels, keep up the great videos, enjoy your trips, thanks for letting us tag along.
Totally agree Gary. We take our sXs's on the jeep trails. From Ouray to Silverton, Lake City to Telluride are absolutely amazing. I wondered during our first visit there about 10 years ago or so that it was a quite emotional place for me and my wife. Jointly, we honed in that it was the grandness and scale that was so awesome. Riding the mountain peaks, often well over 13,000 feet was incredible. The scenery, the old mines, the wild flowers and lush grassy basins are stunning.
We really enjoyed the Ouray and Gunnison video! We visited many of the same locations earlier this year - including the Ouray brewery rooftop. Skipped Gunnison because of the road closure, but had visited 30 years ago.
Great video, I really enjoy that part of Colorado, if you like museums there's a great car museum in Gateway Co, then a great drive/ride through Dolores Canyon south from Gateway.
My mouth literally dropped open seeing the painted wall!
Just spectacular!!
You two are the best. My wife and I watch you guys every night since we found you on you tube. I'm Vietnam vet. I'm 71 my wife is 63 we love you two. Sure glad we found ya channel. Great videos.

So glad you enjoyed the Black Canyon and surrounding area. We’ve lived here our entire life and still we’re finding new areas.
Hi guys 👋...thank you 😊...that was a good 👍video....beautiful place...stay safe...J&A

BCOGNP is an awesome park. We loved it. You had beautiful weather. Will put Ouray on bucket lost. Thanks. Travel safe.

I loved the black canyon of the gunnison!!
I took the helicopter ride over Bryce Canyon gorgeous , we have lived here since 1994 and love it.
I hope Daisy is better. Nice find with the hikes, beautiful scenery. Stay safe and healthy guys.
Chad and Tara you knocked this one out of the park!! Great video with so much information, amazing views, how to info, and the music was great too!! Thanks for sharing this awesome experience with your viewers.
Wow you all made me a fan of Colorado, can’t wait to go, such beautiful filming Thank you
We put music on when the dogs are home alone. I see you also put the blinds down. 👍🏻. Music helps relax them as well as drowns out outside noises.
My wife and I visited Ouray last September and visited the Box Canyon as well. I wish we had known about the Black Canyon of the Gunnison! We will have to go back!
I'm a Coloradoan and Black Canyon is truly breathtaking!
thanks for getting me out of canada lovely tour
Beautiful area,,scenery was great,,,,and daisy needs a bud to play with while ya’ll are gone,,🤷♂️🇺🇸🇺🇸😍😍
That intro was knee knocking!!! 👍👍👍😆😆

Fantastic views!
Glad you all are not afraid of heights. I certainly am, and got a little queezy through the video. :)
Thanks for taking us along!

Amazing!...
The most beautiful part of Colorado. Been there and love it.
Great views, great videos. You two do great jobs explaining.
Little cooler there than Vegas!!!! Nothin worse than a concrete jungle in the summertime!
Travel safe
Really nice video guys!
You might want to try a ThunderShirt for Daisy. It is great for calming my Aussiedoodle. Love your incredible journeys.
Great video and beautiful scenery! Hope all that hiking didn't hurt too much for you Tara. Good to see guys use your feet!
We were just at the Black Canyon last weekend. Spent two days there. My wife and i actually met in Ouray
I have to make my way down there sometime. The scenery is super awesome. Thanks again for another solid video. Safe travels.
Beautiful views ❤ always enjoy your videos❤you guys
When I was in grade school we always drove Poudre Canyon. I would love to go back someday
Beautiful review...good info. And you both are still pretty 😉

Eating Sunday brunch at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs
Wow, awesome views, I thought Dead Horse Point State Park campground was awesome, this is a run for the money in my books, that's for sharing these great places in America, and I don't care when you do...
The sound track was awesome as always! Thanks! Ouray was on the list before, it moved up now!

Fuzzy deer are mule deer fuzzy look is shedding winter coat. Great vid great channel👍🏻
Nice! Heard that comment about getting ready for Zion and Bryce! We'll be there in December. So ready to tackle Angels Landing!!
Awesome video guys ! Thanks for sharing

Oh wow!! I can't wait to get to Colorado one day...hope Daisy will be okay....you guys are brave to walk on the edge of cliffs😎 Loved this episode ❤ Safe travels 💚💜🏞🌻
I adore the Black Canyon! I consider it way cooler (in both senses) than the Grand Canyon and even when it's busy you can easily enjoy it in solitude.
Black canyon is a great park. Both north and south rim. Blue Mesa reservoir has some really good Kokanee salmon fishing also.
Totally understand the delay to post a travel / destination video. We do have a request - please say when you were there. Something as simple as early May, mid May, or late May is helpful for us trying to plan future trips based on weather and crowd sizes. THX. Also, mule deer run "funny" compared to the whitetail deer that most of us see.
We do say what time we are in each area, sometime verbally and sometime text will pop up in the video.
We've been mostly only to Durango. But, you have given us a lot of good ideas of places to go.
When I was growing up, my parents took us to Seven Falls. They light up the falls at night.
It is a beautiful park. The East Portal drive down to the River is amazing also (closed now, I think, for some work). We enjoyed camping there and exploring.
My favorite canyon! Telluride was spectacular, too.

Love your cameo with You Me & The RV. I definitely would have taken you up on the Ladder Offer to climb in through the window. 🤣
We really enjoyed the Ouray and Gunnison video! We visited many of the same locations earlier this year - including the Ouray brewery rooftop. Skipped Gunnison because of the road closure, but had visited 30 years ago.
