- Whales washed ashore with their stomachs filled with plastic bottles. Turtles choked by six-pack rings.
We’ve seen the dramatic effect plastic has on marine life. But the far-more-common danger of plastic pollution is actually… invisible.

Plastic is by far the #1 risk to our environment and it gets very little attention compared to carbon emissions.
Thank you for this contribution!
I was recycling plastic faithfully until I found out that plastic is not actually being properly recycled. Those who work in the recycling and waste industry claimed that it’s all thrown together once it’s brought in. Why are we recycling for no reason? People think that they are recycling when it is brought to the waste and just dumped in the same garbage bin, and much of it is sent to Africa too.
These pictures makes my heart ache
Slogan :save planet earth save
For 20 years. I have dove on the reef off Cancun. And there was never any plastic pollution until Canada started hiring Guadamola to recycle our plastics. Now, the reef is covered . The reefison the route they take to Guadamola, and they dump the plastics that they can't sell along the way!
There must be an FBI team out to sea off the USA coast, past 2019 our animal right extends FAR far out into the middle of a large body of water, We must find a mental test or scan to prove the relation to the dumping and then detain the vessle but send the people back to country delivering a strong message, that Canada did not pay them to do best practices.
This leaves everyone with dignity because the ship is Canadian, the workers are on visa, and the garbage piling up problem is easily resolved in the usa, I know because I'm from the usa and we are the king and queen of trash.
If corporations would us glass and paper in place of plastic we would be better off. What happened to returnable bottles? I guess it's easier to blame the peasants
Very informative
This is so so sad
Se o plástico q está mundo, hj, ainda estará em 2523, qtos séculos à frente disso, p estarmos com o planeta limpo?😢
🙏🙏🙏
Move on to Seaweed based plastics 🙏🙏🙏
So relatable
75percent of planet is water
Why my teacher give this video for Written by his students, this is very tiring, damn it😔

Don't blame the plastic. Blame the idiot's that just throw it anywhere
Blame the idiots that make it. Also blame the idiots that buy it as well, which would be everyone unfortunately. Plastic is so fricking bad that even the people who go zero-waste have no choice but to waste sometimes. It sucks.
@@Militant_Vegan put It in the bin? That's what I say
@@joshuagreenslade3445 I also notice when I’m picking up litter that a lot of the litter isn’t really litter litter. Like there’s a lot of cereal boxes, baking trays, clamshell containers, giant milk cartons.. just a theory but I suspect most litter actually comes from garbage collection. Like it falls out of the curbside bins.
@@Militant_Vegan well Just keep doing what your doing
No one even cares anymore…
