Thanks for all the likes and subscriptions from this video! really awesome to see. well over 500 subs now thank you!
Hi mate, great vid as usual! just wanting some advice on algoclear, do you have or need any certificates to use it and if there's anything you need to do with what runs from the roof into the gutters?. cheers
No mate but it is advised to really do your homework when using it.
You can book a soft washing course that will teach you everything you need to know. I chose to seek advice from the top guys in the business instead to make sure I was doing everything safely and correctly.
Disconnect any downpipes that run into the ground or drains, if you can’t then plug it with something, I usually use a towel and block the pipe up and mop the run off away before I leave.
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning really appreciate your reply mate! It was something the Facebook community was unclear about, what do you do with your towels just dry them out and reuse? Thanks again 👍
Yeah information about stuff like this is hard to come by I’ll make sure I mention it in my next vid.
I rinse them out after the job then wash them and re use :)
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning thanks again, keep the videos coming mate and keep up the good work 👍👍

Another epic job Sir Sidney something satisfying seeing how the moss come off it looks easy but I know it isn't keep up the good work buddy
Cheers buddy should team up on one this year 👍
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning definitely buddy smash them Out 2 of us up there scraping 1 each end then race you to the middle lol
:D you’re on
Like Redlands tiles
Nice one mate ive had one of them steps for years great thing 👍🏼 another motivational video mate just wish i had time to do roofs very satisfying to watch you at your craft keep it up and stay safe 👍🏼💦
I’ve got a feeling you’ll be doing them soon and become the softwashing king of roofs :D
I have a major clean every other month and they have a huge orangery with 24 glass panels as the roof. I used to use a ladder but my feet were killing me after standing on a thin rung for nearly an hour. Managed to bag myself a set of really good Zarges ZAP Giant (12 rung) platform ladders from a major auctioneer, at not even a quarter of the retail price. You might want to search for platform ladder or scaffold auctions and get yourself sorted. My feet have never been so grateful. Keep up the great work.
Yeah I know what you mean! The runs on these ladders are the best I've had and as I said in the vid they usually only start aching after about 6 hours straight but with that step I was golden all day.
Pop up tower is on the list for this year, I will be hiring them for some jobs already booked in also.
Thanks for watching mate!
do these reach most gutter heights?
My ladders do. Any 2 story gutter out there, those platform ladders he’s on about look insane, 12 rungs would reach a gutter level on my houses I’m pretty certain
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning like you Sid i'm looking to purchase a tower probably the Mi or boss. Something quick to assemble and move about
Hi, I’ve just scraped my roof to clear the moss, what should I now spray on the tiles? What would you recommend.
Great work your doing keep the videos coming 👍.
Hi Shaun you should apply a professional strength biocide onto the roof now, algoclear pro, Benz, gkpro are all reputable manufacturers. Dilute it 1/20 or 1/25 depending on the brand. Spray or brush into the roof but wear full PPE and make sure it doesn’t run off into the drains.
If you check on my channel I have quite a few roof cleaning videos with the softwashing at the end of the video 👍
Enjoyed that after a hard day's graft :)
Tough life for work horses like us ay
Where did you purchase your ladder step from mate looks like a handy bit of kit to have pal also top work as always really like your videos👍
I got mine from midland ladders, £26 bargain!
Cheers buddy glad you’re enjoying them 👍
love the tile scrapers, how do go about the ridge tiles on houses, have you seen any scrapers attachments for them . if not whats the best solution for removing mos on the curved ridge tiles ,trying to avoid stepping on the roof
Yes mate you can get the ridge tile profile from the flexi scraper website, I personally just scrub it with a wire brush or a flat blade.
Where there’s a will there’s a way :D
Thank you buddy ,great idea, take care mate @@PartridgeExteriorCleaning
Anytime mate take care 👍
Great job and video quick question after soft washing does the moss that dies off go into the gutter and do you return to clean it out cheers
It mainly just disappears into the wind mate or gets washed away. Usually just end up with dust in the gutters so doesn’t really need a clean out but you can offer a follow up check in 6 months like I usually do 👍
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning f Sound mate cheers for that 👍
Any time buddy all the best 👍
You need a fitting for a cup holder on them ladders, for you're tea break.
haha! I think theres a holder you can actually put in the rung, ive seen it for holding paint tubs etc. need a cup sized one
Brilliant job, how do you advertise for jobs like this one? And do you use Facebook ads? Cheers
Facebook adds, google, and always push recommendations and drop leaflets up the streets you’re working on!
Most of my work comes from recommendations to be honest!
Cheers mate
Good tips mate. I still probably try and get too much off lol
I spend my first hour going full OCD then have to remind myself 😆
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning I hear you, I'm guilty of that.
Another great video Sid what temperatures are you experiencing down your way atm it’s struggling to get above 2-3 degrees up north no good for applying biocide
Thanks mate hope you’re well. Been sitting around 6-9 degrees most days the past week so been extremely lucky for this time of year. Hopefully you get some of that luck!
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning That is lucky isn’t it so are we saying apply it 8 degrees or above do you need to take into consideration over night temperatures though or will it not effect it after it’s been on for a few hours?
8 degrees is the guide so stick to it if possible but I’ve applied it at 6 degrees many a time early morning, warms up through the day then. Doesn’t matter what happens 12 or so hours afterwards, the moss is already long dead and it’s nicely soaked into the tiles.
If there was a -5 freeze or a hurricane later that night I might worry but in all of the winter roofs I’ve cleaned I’ve never had a follow up issue 👍
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning champion mate I will go by them guidelines I have got myself a tower aswell now from BPS access solutions I went for a diy premium plus tower I was abit unsure when it came but when it’s all up it’s really sturdy 👍🏻
@@pressurecleaningsolutions7896 Lovely jubbly, should make a video of you setting it up, would be a good watch
Watching from Hong Kong, apart respect from your job, I am curious where the place is, find this street out from google map :)
Hi would you have any links were you bought your ladder stand off thanks.
Hi mate it’s from midland ladders .co.uk just click on ladder accessories
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning Thanks for the reply cheers👍
Where is the ladder step from mate?
Midland ladders . com buddy, about £16 i think
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning champion thanks sid
Great to see your efforts making the roof look so much better. I still worry every time I see you working off ladders. Please get a pop up tower, your life isn't worth the risk of falling!!!! I know you are experienced but still, you are young and I presume you want to get older?
Cheers bud. The ladders were as safe as possible I promise 😆 not even a tiny movement in them.
This was booked for a tower but it got brought forward as it’s having a lot of work done this week so just cracked on with it 👍
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning Stay safe mate.
And you mate all the best
You always use "quid", Is that how you guys call pounds?
yeah :D
You use the ladder on your own (know one holding it?)
Hi mate and yes usually on my own but use stablisers, stand offs and a rubber matt.
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning Thanks, I saw this in one of your other videos, useful to see what other folks use to stay safe
@@JetWash4U Yeah i'd highly recommend scaffolding towers though, much easier and safer, I use one most jobs now instead of ladders :D
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning Yes I agree I have a respectful fear of ladders. Do you have your own tower or higher as you go? (what is the average cost per job? ) do you manage to assemble and dismantle alone? Have you considered a cherry picker? (I can never work out how they get all-around a house)
how do men become this beautiful? by appearance and nature.
