RUclips is a global online video sharing and social media platform headquartered in San Bruno, California. It was launched on February 14, 2005, by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim. It is owned by Google, and is the second most visited website, after Google Search. RUclips has more than 2.5 billion monthly users[7] who collectively watch more than one billion hours of videos each day.[8] As of May 2019, videos were being uploaded at a rate of more than 500 hours of content per minute.[9][10]
In October 2006, RUclips was bought by Google for $1.65 billion.[11] Google's ownership of RUclips expanded the site's business model, expanding from generating revenue from advertisements alone, to offering paid content such as movies and exclusive content produced by RUclips. It also offers RUclips Premium, a paid subscription option for watching content without ads. RUclips also approved creators to participate in Google's AdSense program, which seeks to generate more revenue for both parties. RUclips reported revenue of $19.8 billion in 2020.[12] In 2021, RUclips's annual advertising revenue increased to $28.8 billion.[1]
Since its purchase by Google, RUclips has expanded beyond the core website into mobile apps, network television, and the ability to link with other platforms. Video categories on RUclips include music videos, video clips, news, short films, feature films, documentaries, audio recordings, movie trailers, teasers, live streams, vlogs, and more. Most content is generated by individuals, including collaborations between RUclipsrs and corporate sponsors. Established media corporations such as Disney, Paramount, and Warner Bros. Discovery have also created and expanded their corporate RUclips channels to advertise to a larger audience.
RUclips has had an unprecedented social impact, influencing popular culture, internet trends, and creating multimillionaire celebrities. Despite all its growth and success, RUclips has been widely criticized. Criticism of RUclips includes the website being used to facilitate the spread of misinformation, copyright issues, routine violations of its users' privacy, enabling censorship, their guidelines and how they are implemented, and endangering child safety and wellbeing.

Thanks so much for the review, I'm learning to skate and seriously scared of falling and hurting something. Always felt embarrassed looking into hip padding. But I feel better now to get them, knowing that you have them too for tailbone safety!

Crash pads are insurance for snowboarders. If you ever had such a bad fall, you dont want to ride anymore that day😖 these will help prevent that over and over again. Especially if youre just learning💪

  • @jameslee6860

I had the same injury. It was terrible and took about 7-months to get back to normal. Now I’m using the triple eight version. They make a huge difference. They feel really similar to American football pads. Not as low profile as g-form, so I started skating with bigger pants. I was initially holding out because they seemed overpriced. I don’t recommend waiting… my insurance copay for the exam and x-rays was just as much or more than the cost of the pads.😅

I’ve got Decathlon own brand inline skate crash pads (bought in the UK) after a similar gnarly tail bone incident. They were really reasonably priced and I never really skate without them now! Game changer!

    • @Mighty-Mitch

I had them to, tried them in two sizes but the padding on those is just all over the place except the places that matter.

@@Mighty-Mitch Mine are the old version! Forgot to mention that, much slimmer, denser material and different pad placement. I saw the new version recently and thought they looked a bit wacky. Thanks for that, i’ll be looking elsewhere when my current set expire 🙏

I know there is size charts for these , I'm 6' at 190 or so lbs. what size would some of you our there recommend. I also hurt my tail bone ice skating
I fell over backwards hard. Now I'm not pushing it as hard which is not good for progress because I'm guarding it.

I have Bodyprox brand and Dmoose brand. They were only like $30 each. They’re pretty nice for the price and keep the hips and tailbone protected.

Yeah my only 2 notes for this video were 1. overpaying for a Burton logo and 2. Don't put them in the dryer after washing. I can see that maybe he went with the burtons because the tailbone protection is massive, but I'm kind of g-shocked by how much Burton is skimping on the protection everywhere else. If I'm gonna wear crash pads I want some material on the thighs as well, but thats my personal most common bruising pattern.
Big shout out to eBay for enabling my skating because safety gear is so expensive.

Funny I was just looking for something like this after smoking my hip a bunch lately. Came across a brand called "UFO Plast" that makes a bunch of different models that look pretty nice. But I already wear the G-form knees and love them, so maybe I'll look into these. 👍

  • @LifetimeShred
    @LifetimeShred Год назад

I rock the leatt 5.0 impact shorts which are also low profile. Seems like these have better tailbone, but mine might have more hip coverage. Only thing that drives me crazy is they feel like they constantly are falling down now that I have had them for awhile. Have thought of rocking suspenders underneath... haha but seriously.

Would these work with a sport like Brazilian jiu jitsu? I’m curious if the pads are only effective when taking impact, or if it will also protect me from pain I’m seated situations(me putting weight on tail bone for longer periods of time rather then just a short impact to the tail bone)? thanks
