Absolutely. This song, and most of their new album is about spiritual enlightenment. This song is about someone who fell to the dark - ego - and realized that they should have believed wishing that they could have believed when they first saw us - enlightenment - but it was too good to be true. Then he understands the point of existence at all, to rise above, and that determination and hope is our humanity, we are all fighting for inner peace and must fight together to achieve it outwardly.

I really wanted Alexisonfire to be my favorite band, it makes me sad that the equalization and melody of some songs it's just weird, and they didn't create that many hits. I'm currently listening to "city and colour", which is the solo career of of Dallas Green, one of the singers.
