I got the 10 inch 7.5/2.5 poly/gel mattress and it's currently expanding on the platform frame. I am so excited to test it out. So far it feels amazing! It was only $239!! The frame we got was only $199. It was extremely light in the box, and easy to get in the apartment. I really recommend it because you can collectively spend less than half the price of a normal spring mattress for BOTH a foam mattress and a frame. There is also 0 chemically-ish kinda smell when you open it like some traditional mattresses have.
Just got mine today and I’m already IN LOVE! I added an additional 2in gel topper for extra comfort for just in case. It feels like sleeping on a cloud. ❣️❣️❣️

mom got her 14" gel foam ( plush quilted top) mattress today & she loves it, says it's the most comfortable bed she's ever had... got ones with copper infused in them now for an extra 150$ bucks. we got a full size from mattress firm for 450$ bucks SWEET!!

If you workout (people) and you don’t sleep enough, you might as well work out half the amount of time or not at all pier your body and muscles need the rest and recovery. My wife has Scoliosis and our old coil spring mattress (approximately 20 years old) causes her severe back pain as well as hip pain and other joint pain for both of us. We wanted to go with a memory foam mattress because it should provide complete support for the entire body and eliminate the pressure points associated with coil spring mattresses. We decided on the gel foam top layer because we both generate an enormous amount of body heat when we sleep. Your review makes me so glad we decided on this mattress and the price is unbeatable. Is this mattress comfortable in all sleeping positions... side, back and stomach?

You'll actually be pretty amazed at how that utilize this system they created to rate their mattresses. I did months of research before I bought mine. I used to sell mattresses, so to make it simple, if you’re a back sleeper, firm to medium is fine. If you’re side sleeper, medium to medium plus to plush is best. When you lay down on your side the heaviest parts of your body, your shoulders and hips put a lot of pressure from your weight from those body part onto the mattress so if it’s too firm it’s gonna hurt those parts. Independent of mattress type. And if you’re going to get an inner-spring, don’t get the old-school innerspring where all the coils are connected, make sure you get one that has encased coils, a.k.a., pocketed coil‘s. They move independently so they’ll conform to your body kind of how memory foams are supposed to work. If they’re good.

Looking at getting this mattress. Trying to decide between 10” vs 12” thickness. How is the 10”? I mainly want to but it to relieve some back pain because I do a lot of heavy lifting at work so I need good support. I currently have a spring mattress which is okay
@@jugo6987 That was my dilemma - it didn't really matter to me. The only difference is the 12" will probably fit sheets better. My 10" is great and comfortable but if you are in a wheelchair you might not want to get it any taller. I'm not little but I have to use my hands to push myself back.
@@geewiz8253 just start searching. My wife was sick as a dog. We finally got a Saatva mattress. Formaldehyde is in everything made in China. Some people are more sensitive than others. I couldn't smell it but it doesn't mean it's not there. Kinda like fresh air. Can't smell it or see it but it's there.

I'm thinking of getting the 6" version. I can't really get a mattress that's much thicker because it will be too high for me to transfer to from my wheelchair. How much do you sink into the mattress (I'm mostly thinking of your hips when laying on your side). I can't really have too much pressure in bony areas. BeingMomCa I purchased mine about a month ago and it’s everything he said it was and more. I also got the 10in and it’s wonderful. The instructions tell you to wait 24-48hrs before sleeping on it so I waited. They say it needs to completely rise and settle. I’m so glad I waited. It was worth the wait to me. I have no issues while sitting in it as it rises right back into place. Hope this helped.
U could buy a pregnancy bed. Thats what i have its pretty low to the ground so u can roll off it it lol. But a wheelchair would be perfect to use this with.
I see you didn't get a reply but I will tell you that I got the 10" medium plush a week ago and it's taking some getting used to. If you actually go to the Lucid website you can see how they rate their mattresses. They have a rating scale of 1 to 5. I personally believe that even for mine being a medium plush, it feels firm but what the company recommends is that you should get a mattress that is more firm and then a topper to make it softer. The theory is that you can make a bed softer but you can't make it more firm. all I recommend is if you're going to get a memory foam mattress do your research ahead of time. Lucid is a wonderful mattress and I absolutely love mine. I got it for an adjustable bed that I bought at the same time (Classic Brands Adjustable Base Upholstered w/wireless remote, USB ports, Massage). The price on Amazon is much better than the price on the Lucid website however. I wish you the best of luck.
I just ordered this mattress and also ordered a mattress cover. It completely encases the mattress with a waterproof zipper and is washable. On amazon for 25 bucks
@Jugo 69 you guys want to buy a mattress protector (that protects the top or mattress encasement that protects the whole mattress and not even bed bugs can get in) by purchasing a mattress protector that is waterproof AND breathable. I’ve seen some on Amazon’s. Rooms to go has a good brand name Bed gear that sells both those kinds. But if you go there don’t buy the rooms Togo brand ones, they are good but Bed Gear is actually really good. They even have demo samples that show how the breathability and waterproof works. Just remember they don’t have a return policy. Specially for stuff like that since it’s a hygiene issue. But you shouldn’t have a problem. If you have a manufacturing issue they are good about honoring that.
Hello, during the beginning of the video you mentioned you previously purchased a 12incn mattress. I am currently looking to purchase a Lucid mattress but cannot decide whether the price increase is worth it get the 12inch mattress over the 10inch mattress. Great question. Personally, I'd take the 12 inch mattress if I had a choice, but if I was spending my money (and I was), I bought the 10 inch. It seemed like you got everything that the 12 inch offered, but for less money. And when you're on it, you can't tell the difference.
@ Aries G - I purchased the same mattress from Amazon (medium-firm) and for me, it is firmer than what I would like it to be. Amazon handling department does not accept it to be returned. So I ended up with a total loss... my suggestion is that if you want a more plush one, do not get this one
I bought the medium plush one and I feel it's amazing now but it was hard to get used to it first. What Lucid suggests is getting a firmer mattress then you I think you would like and buying a topper for it later on with the theory being that you can make a mattress softer but you cannot make it more firm.
Not unless you plan on sleeping outside in a tent with this mattress. 😉 In all seriousness, the gel is not going to change based on weather conditions outside. As long as the temperature inside your home is comfortable and reasonable for you to sleep, then you will be very comfortable sleeping on this mattress.

That is not an exact answer. Depending on where you get your mattress the warranty can be different. I have the same exact mattress that I bought on Amazon and mine only came with a 10 year warranty. I bought it a week ago.
Got mine 10 months ago. i saw this review thinking it was legit, this mattress suck do not buy , this guy is not a real customer, when try to calim the warranty , they said this mattress should be rotated every time the sheets are changed, Ridiculous! there something really sketchy going on in the mattress industries, none of the reviews are legit!
I bought mine on Amazon. Love it! Bought an adjustable bed to go with it and I love that too. I drive a Chevy Tahoe with a police cage in it and I'm pretty damn okay with that as well. Is that legit enough for you? 🤨
Maybe you got one that’s too firm. If you happen to be a side sleeper, a firm mattress of any kind will put too much presser on the heaviest parts of your body: your hips and shoulders so you need at least a medium to relieve the pressure your body puts on when you lay down on a mattress. They sell medium and medium-plush on Amazon now.

Personally I think the big difference is just how high you want it. If you’re putting it on top of boxspring, then the 10 in is probably fine

You might develop mold if you put it on the floor. It needs to breathe. You only need platform bed for it to breathe.

The gel memory foam does. I have the gel memory foam Lucid mattress and I actually bought it specifically for that reason.

In all seriousness, the gel is not going to change based on weather conditions outside. As long as the temperature inside your home is comfortable and reasonable for you to sleep, then you will be very comfortable sleeping on this mattress.

That is not an exact answer. Depending on where you get your mattress the warranty can be different. I have the same exact mattress that I bought on Amazon and mine only came with a 10 year warranty. I bought it a week ago.

Got mine 10 months ago. i saw this review thinking it was legit, this mattress suck do not buy , this guy is not a real customer, when try to calim the warranty , they said this mattress should be rotated every time the sheets are changed, Ridiculous! there something really sketchy going on in the mattress industries, none of the reviews are legit!

I bought mine on Amazon. Love it! Bought an adjustable bed to go with it and I love that too. I drive a Chevy Tahoe with a police cage in it and I'm pretty damn okay with that as well. Is that legit enough for you? 🤨

Maybe you got one that’s too firm. If you happen to be a side sleeper, a firm mattress of any kind will put too much presser on the heaviest parts of your body: your hips and shoulders so you need at least a medium to relieve the pressure your body puts on when you lay down on a mattress. They sell medium and medium-plush on Amazon now.
