I think one release per year is a fantastic idea. Not only it'll be more manageable for you as the creator, but also makes it more special for the consumers. It's almost like waiting for Christmas!
I'm a makeup minimalist but a makeup lover nonetheless. I'm a bit obsessed with finishing all of my beauty products before buying new ones. Right now I still have the Anastasia Beverly Hills lip pallette that I'm trying to use up. But Lisa, you got me so excited and in awe of your beautiful velvet lipstick line and I swear to God that once I use up my current lip products, they'll be the only ones I buy as long as they're still available.
P.S. I'm also glad to see that you've included an Asian model amongst the existing ones.

I love how you’re only doing once a year launches because it actually gives me something to look forward to versus constant releases every week from other brands. Quality always beats quantity.
Also, can you do a tutorial on your simple but classy eyeshadow look? I just LOVE how it goes with every lipstick shade perfectly but doesn’t take away focus from the lipsticks! 😍

My heart was racing! The launch was 5:00am here in New Zealand. I managed to get Velvet Fawn and Velvet Jazz, the latter of which I have been wanting since the first launch. 💄💄 Now I shall be going to sleep as I didn't trust myself to wake up for it instead. ✨

I have to say, after having just given Lisa all of my money, literally ;), I am really pleased to hear of the once a year release. I appreciate a brand that is truly focused on providing a quality product even if that means reducing the number of releases, and not flooding the market with lesser quality items simply to boost sales. Not that I think the brand will have to worry about that, of course. But with how deeply and painfully the make-up market is over-saturated with product, both from affordable and luxury brands, this just makes me happy to hear. I would much rather a single product of exquisite quality that I can feel good about purchasing than being so desensitized to releases that I end up not buying anything, which I think has really become a problem in the industry today.
I hope it is not once a year restock, as I have a suspicion I will fall in love with some of the colours. My first purchase ever, and I already got almost all of them 😅 But yes... brands overdo it to the extend of irritating the customers. We prefer high-quality and we mostly get clown makeup.
This reminds me so much of majority of the brands but mostly Kylie cosmetics. Everything is just the same with different packaging with her products.
By your voice I can understand how much hard work, dedication and talent you invested in the "True velvet" project. This inspires me and give one more reason to be in love with the marvellous "Velvet" collection. I have ordered my set and for sure will feel so much more confident in my work wearing it. This is the first time in my life that I went on a site on the launch day and pre-ordered anything, the very first time ever! Have bought the True Velvet Collection from last year as a gift to a special classy lady in my life, and then two for myself - the stunning Velvet Muse and Velvet Jazz, wanted the Velvet Myth as well, had it in my basket but it was gone until I got to the checkout, that was saddening but oh well... I can't pull off red lipstick for the life of me, it just looks... wrong on me, cheap, I don't know, probably because of my olive skin tone, with a yellow-ish undertone. But these new shades are absolutely beautiful!!! I hope I can get the Velvet Myth on the re-stock day too. Beautifully done, Lisa. Wow, I respect the colour story and design effort for every individual shade. Not a single one looks flat or boring. Even the bold ones are so very flattering - flattering AND edgy - not exactly an easy equation! I hope that the summer shades will make comeback, too - with new additions, of course...

I love how you're the master of undertones! It's kind of hard to explain it to friends when I look at nude shades and can tell which works. I have a bachelor's degree in fine arts and this is where i apply four years of color theory on a daily scenario hahah!
I don't have so much experience, but I am so happy I started having an eye for it lately. And it all came from personal knowledge first. People say: you know and look ate yourself your whole life... true, but without really researching what and why did not work for me, I could have never enjoyed beautiful makeup the right way.

Exactly the reason I decided to abandon RUclips "gurus" and if I watch makeup channels and get advises from them, to be from someone I have researched and has valuable knowledge and solid background.
