He was hiding a little something :)... most people will say that he was hiding aggressive emotions and possibly wasn't quite as "ego-less" as he claimed, but I've never had any doubt that what you said is the truth of it. No doubt whatsoever. If I didn't feel love and truth emanating from him I wouldn't spend even a minute listening to or reading his words. Love is impersonal and infinite in its expression! UG was such an unusual and absolutely fantastic portrayal of life. Wish I could have met him!

Of course no enlightened person would ever say they were enlightened, just like 'only the true Messiah denies his own divinity', because at that point there's no 'person' to be enlightened or be anything. It's strange though, the more you travel on the spiritual journey, the less the idea of 'enlightenment' possesses the mind, everything just becomes more ordinary, including that idea. So maybe 'he' was truly enlightened because he abandoned the idea of enlightenment altogether.

@@Gaurav.P0 To be honest I know very little about UG's teachings other than the odd video on yt, none of which I can make head nor tail of. JK was also very negative in his approach, especially in his spoken teachings, although if you read some of what he wrote he obviously had a deeply enlightened mind and stated positively that there was something to be realised. But nothing as negative as UG, who seemed to think the mind was all just an illusion, including obviously any ideas of so-called enlightenment.
Not just words, this is the video where UG has the fiercest countenance. I pause multiple times to look at his face that is like a spewing volcano. can't find another like (t)his on this goddamned earth! That face goes far beyond honesty, integrity and sincerity. It is fire that is one of the fundamental elements.

Dude was unbelievable.
First time I saw this video was around 15 years ago. I've watched it numerous times since then and I always get something new out of it. I think you have to be really sharp to get some of the points he's making. Not because they're complicated intellectual conjectures but because he's deconstructing what we all have grown to consider our "normal" everyday way of functioning. We can't fathom anything else.

Like UG said, it's acausal. It's out of his hands and it's out of yours whether that kind of thing strikes you or not. So no individual separate self can take credit for getting it or not getting it. As he also said, if the question goes, YOU go. And not one quantum second is wasted in the grand scheme of this universe.
