It’s fine for this platform. It’s not like this was supposed to be a televised video. Also, I think if you read in between the lines - Martin was too low key for the audience this channel typically targets. At one point, Martin Starr says his response was a bit too intense and that he should be more upbeat. So, I’m sure the editor chose to toss in those clips to spice things up a bit and still cater towards their target audience. And if you pay attention, there’s a lot of seriously awkward moments between the interviewer and talent that I’m sure the editor was just trying to cover up.
Agreed. Some of those jump cuts - but - mostly due that she was filling in and probably didn't have a ton of interviewing experience - she was clearly nervous and her jokes fell pretty flat making awkward moments the editor had to smooth out.

For everyone saying Martin is like Gilfoyle in real life: in this interview he had to "stay in character" because of the upcoming final season of "Silicon Valley". This is often ask by the producers to mantain the illusion that a well known character is real outside the show.
IMHO Gilfoyle is the coolest system architect played ever in the TV show. Guess everyone gets "That is the fuck I do". And Martin plays Canadian character very well.

This show way better than any other comedy series and its a shame they don't develop it into longer series. Techs never dies and that is what make people love this series. Too bad they ended prematurely. 7 series is too short.
