Mark Lanegan was instrumental in this genre. He passed away at 57 in Feb of 22. He was the former singer for the screaming trees. But that’s 5% of his music . He became a sort of Tom wait meets Johnny cash. .. I suggest Bubblegum aa the album. To check out

No. They are in Stern's studio where it's always filmed. They are separated for audio recording reasons because it's primarily an audio format

He did answer the question if you know how he speaks. Sometimes he says “we” when he’s actually just talking about himself. He was trying to say that he didn’t want a really big hit on Vs. because he was having a hard time dealing with fame after the pretty much overnight success of Ten. I guess he ended up relenting by agreeing to put it on Vitalogy.
I think he did as well... Can't imagine Howard clipping this if he didn't think the answer was heartfelt. 😮

What he’s basically saying is you can burn bright for a short time or Less bright for longer! Huge commercial success often has a limited shelf life. If you’re in it for the long hall you sometimes have to make decisions that appear counter intuitive! However the people paying your wages will often strongly disagree
