Such a beautiful trouser suit
Who in the world had more holidays than Judith Chalmers?
Gotta love my magical and legendary Mallorca
''one tour company even runs trips for bird watchers...birds with feathers that is!''
lol... so 1970's. Fab.
By the way, that £16 per person per day for the luxury room works out at a current (2020), inflation adjusted £168...! And for the plebs the £170 for 2 weeks works out at almost £1800.
''In the winter time charter flights are around £99 - £112''. That would be approx £1100 in today's money. No Easyjet or Ryanair in those days.
"A great variety of bushes" indeed.
Such a beautiful and lovely place !!
Ms Chalmers hair sponsored by McAlpine Scaffolding.
"I think if it was a little larger it could justifiably be called the drawing room."
I doubt there are many drawing rooms, would-be or otherwise, in Majorca now. Perhaps Judith harboured aspirations to get back to the BBC so early in her fledgling career with Thames? The 50p-a-night doss-house at the station was a nice touch though.
Gracias 💋 💋
Holidays back then were so posh ...
Presenter has a beautiful name💞
They could have at least disguised Judith Chalmers' microphone as an ice cream.
I'm howling laughing at that 🤣
What on earth were they thinking. It seems to have a 50 feet cable attached to it.
Judith will soon be turning 85!
A legend
lol...a room at the station hotel was a whopping 50 pence per night! (£10 in today's wonga)
6:20 'Station hotel 50p a night ' sorry did l hear that right!
There used to be a joke at School
"Did you see Judith Chalmers on the telly"
A: "why were they showing?"
A world apart indeed... Its been a downward spiral ever since.
In the early 70's Mallorca was still a sweet spot between the medieval and modern worlds.
Port De Soller is still a world away from Magaluf, that's for sure!! A terrific spot.
@@DougieL Yup, lol
For visitors who want to do more than carve their name in cacti, it´s interesting...
Gosh I'd barely recognise it from this video. It has changed so much and not always for the better.
It offers much for intelligent people with good taste.
16£ per day per person!!!! 😂😂😂I'll take it for a month
'Bird watchers' lol. Judith quite hot here.
` CARVE THEIR NAMES ON CACTI ` Soup erb
2:33 Yep this is definitely from the 70s! 🤮

Ahhh plummy Judith who never said the word ‘toilet’ in her entire broadcasting career, always ‘loo’
Take a lovely holiday in Fascist Spain! Enjoy that uniquely 'imperial' feeling of luxuriating in the privilege of being a guest of a right wing dictatorship!
Spain 🇪🇸 has never been officially “fascist”. And the use of labels is never reasonable.
Dunno what you would call Franco's dictatorship then. The Republicans sure knew what to call them in the '30s
coocaran For sure I know the better word for the “Republicans” - “the Reds”.
Under this name, they turned to dust in the 1930s.
I am sure their modern successors will share the same fate
Falangist. Conservative Authoritarian. It was a wonderful time to visit Spain!
ManInTheBigHat Exactly
Awful outfits.
Yawn.......zzzzzz
And the next year Franco died and Spain went to hell. Especially Mallorca.
Facha much?

Well if hell is free then good! 😛
Franco was fucking brilliant
